Strawberry Compote with White Chocolate Panna Cota
With Valentine's Day around the corner, we all are in a different stage at out love lives and have very different expectations from this hyped day. We could either be Monica and Chandler, who are in their happiest and most stable relationship and want to spend the day with each other, even if it involves lying to our best friends. Or maybe we are Monica and Chandler before they fell in love with each other and are simply awkward and desperate for love. We can also be part of a highly volatile yet passionate relationship, like that of Ross and ..read more

Manchow Soup
In these rainy, gloomy and unbearably cold winters, warm and spicy soups prove to be the best solution to combat the chilling cold. Manchow Soup, in particular is a healthy and delicious way to include some of the best winter-selling vegetables like cabbage, zucchini, beans, spring onions and carrot in an appetising wrapping of spicy and warm soup. It has been the highlight for my family's evening conversations, so much that it almost felt impossible to get the picture clicked for the blog. Soups are best served warm and therefore, to absolutely no one's surprise, the ..read more

Orange Cinnamon Cake
2021, a year full of intense turbulence is finally approaching its end in less than a month. The excitement of a hopefully more positive year is accompanied by the festive vibes of Christmas and celebrations and so December becomes the perfect month for inspiration and home-baked cakes. This month therefore felt like the perfect opportunity to inspire myself and to attempt new dishes. I have always shared a passion for baking and so with winter and its festivities around the corner, I decided to experiment with the flavour of orange, cinnamon and drizzled chocolate ..read more

Dahi ke Kebab (Curd Cutlet)
Dahi ke Kebabs are a starter that we have all grown up with. They are a luxury present only on days where the entire family would go out to have a lavish dinner, be it when I was a kid or a mother, the tradition remained the same. The contrasting light sweetness of hung curd and crispy taste of its outer layer has always made me want to attempt this recipe. I was suddenly reminded of this sweet childhood aspiration when I went to Chennai six months back. We decided to have dinner at Chennai's J W Marriot to enjoy a relaxing night. During a pleasant conversa ..read more

Corn Kebab Air Fried
The sound of drizzle, the humid air and the scent of earth after a good shower all act as the telltale sign of monsoon weather and our romantic cravings that accompany them. One such craving of mine are corns. Corn is an ingredient that offers a wide range of snacks including Sweet corn with butter that offers a warm and sweet taste on a breezy night, crispy corns that are crispy and crunchy and make for a great midnight snack, corn fitters that accompany rich spices and compliment the scenic view a rainy evening has to offer with a warm cup of tea and Makke ki Kee ..read more

Chur Chur Naan On Tawa
Indian breads prove to be an exquisite component of Indian cuisine. A true Indian meal feels incomplete in their absence while also managing to be a complete meal in themselves. What's even more appealing about these breads are the range of variety they offer - from dosas that make up for a delicious breakfast to heavy Naan's that make up the pride of Punjab. While International breads like pizza and focaccia bread offer a decent amount of range India's range in bread remains unbeatable with breads from South, North, east and West contributing to this collec ..read more

Lemon Chilly Baby Corn
The pandemic has impacted our productivity and inspiration to work immensely. I am no stranger to this experience as I took a hiatus for the same reason. Getting back on track has been difficult but it isn't impossible. I joined a group of food bloggers Healthy WELLthy cuisines and relied on them to help me find my lost inspiration. The group decides on a theme, based on which every member has to share a recipe every fortnight. Not only did the idea narrow my horizons and gave me a deadline but also helped me learn from all the other members. Th ..read more

Pani Puri Ka Pani
Having been surrounded with news of distraught and despair, thanks to Coronavirus, I had decided to go on a hiatus in search of inspiration. The current times had definitely taken a toll on my productivity and creativity and what better way to combat such negative emotions than to look for warmth and comfort in the arms of your family? So I went back to my childhood home and enjoyed "maa ke haath ka khaana" for a week. The fresh mint that was growing in their backyard reminded me of my childhood days where having golgappe weekly was a routine and that's how I fou ..read more

Atta Biscuits .. Whole wheat cookies
Atta Biscuits have been a constant source of happiness in my childhood days. Back in the day, the delicious cookies flaunted on a bakery's display, were made of egg and Maida. Two ingredients that I tried to avoid as much as possible. Atta Biscuits acted as a wonderful substitute to those. The warmth and feeling of an Indian home that Atta and Desi Ghee radiate made these Biscuits more than just a substitute. I tried recreating the look of Atta Biscuits using a fork and I might have managed to float back into my childhood days.
