February is only two days away, and Im in the mood for a little red! I've mixed the old with the new to create this monochromatic red look, and Im really feeling the vibes.
I love it when I can put my layering skills to use to bring new life to my wardrobe! For this look, I pulled out a red lace dress that I created two years ago for Valentine's Day! I still love this piece. This lace dress is a self drafted piece that I always consider for layering since the fabric is light enough to pack on the layers. Lace and mesh pieces are great for this in the fall and winter.

Stretch knit garments have always been my favorite, especially dresses. They are easy to make, easy to wear and easy to layer and style. And you can’t just make one. However in the last year I haven’t made much from knits, but its cold out and that means warm and cozy weather now so, I’ve been inspired by stretch knit garments as of late. I’ve recently created this head to floor knit dress and I absolutely love how it turned out
This piece was inspired by a look from no other than Beyonce and of course I had to create my own version. The dress is a pretty straight forward fitted floor ..read more

Hey Guys! Lately Ive been feeling a good monochromatic look! This time how about a little Athleisure featuring Nylon RipStop fabric in a vibrant Royal Blue. Now I'm not a sweats and t-shirt type of person but I do like to be comfy! This time of year I tend to level up on my sports gear and lounge pieces by adding my own extra flare to them and this project has got to be one of my favorites yet!
At first glance of this fabric I thought tracksuit and sportswear. Maybe an anorak and definitely a pair of cargo pants. I decided to create something a little bit different but still give that ..read more

There is something about organza that gives enchantment and magic! It's a happy fabric, and you can find it in an array of colors. I guess this is why we usually see it used in wedding dresses and evening wear. However, working it into everyday wear, if you dare, can create a certain edge and upgrade your whole look.
Organza is a lightweight transparent material, but instead of being soft and drapey like chiffon, it is stiff. It holds shape and is perfect for garments that require structure. It folds and usually serves up bold!
I created a tiered pullover dress from this beautiful irradecen ..read more

Yes, Ive been obsessed with colors this season, especially, vibrant bright colors. But can you blame me? This trend of bright colors hit the scene early Fall and it seems that the trend for bold colors has only been growing. However, not only are we wearing ,bold monochromatic looks and pops of color but we also see more artistic play on colors this time of year.
There is no doubt the bolder brighter palettes have us turning our heads but we haven't completely turned our backs on enchanting pastels either. We have celebrated pastels for Spring for many years now and we continue to see pastel ..read more

Ive created my share of bustiers in the last year since the style re-enter fashion. And I must say I still can't get enough of a good bustier look. Its a good thing that this trend is still going strong. We've even seen several looks come down the runway for Fall 22' which is a good sign that its not going away anytime soon.
When it comes to styling the bustier there are so many endless options. If you are looking for something casual to incorporate into your everyday, when you want to be comfy but stylish, choose styles in casual fabrics like denim, cottons even some knits. You can style th ..read more

Hello Gems! Who's in the Mood for cool, wearable early Fall transition pieces? For me, transitioning into Fall wardrobe is all about maintaining the lightness of fabrics that make summer fashion so much fun yet introducing the warmer side of the color palette and making it suitable for cooler weather as well as warm weather.
With that said, my MSN Featured fabrics and looks are made for early Fall and with a little styling efforts and layering they could take me well into even cooler weather.
For my first look, I went with Moods Exclusive Ornate Ornamentation Cotton. This is a true paisley p ..read more

Recently, I decide to bring together my Early Spring Know Me pattern with my first ever Indie pattern, creating the perfect pattern marriage for a cute summer romper. It was pretty easy to do with out needing any extra drafting or intense alteration of either pattern. So if you want to give it a go yourself keep reading.
Of coarse, you're gonna need both patterns. We will be taking the bodice of the Sia Pattern and merging it with the pants of the ME2027. I used a medium weight canvas like fabric for this romper similar to the weight of denim.
Gather all your pattern pieces. For this mash-u ..read more
