Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together.
Marilyn Monroe
Breakups, especially with someone you loved (or thought you loved) are dreadful. Throughout the relationship you had hopes that it’d last forever. He/she was the one, then suddenly everything is falling apart and it’s over, just like that.
This is what happened to me.
My most recent relationship was long distance. We spent about a handful of time together and somehow managed to be together for about eight months. He met my brother—which is the ultimate test— and I was for sure that we were a foreve ..read more

We are told that happiness is the most important thing of all, but sometimes we aren’t happy. And for some of us, that happens more often than not. We are human. We are people who struggle and despite the stigmatization of mental health, it is okay to not be okay.

I pride myself on not being too controversial. I’ve seen it turn people into monsters. That is not who I am and not someone I ever want to be. But today, I’m going to get real.
I was 13 the first time I was touched without consent, the day that someone stripped my innocence from me.
The was the first time I said no and asked someone to stop and was ultimately laughed at and ignored. On that same day, I lost any respect I had for myself, my friends, and my body, but I told no on ..read more

Dating is hard. The End. That’s my Ted Talk.
No, I’m just kidding. But seriously it’s challenging and we all know that. The only time it was easy was elementary school. Everything, and I do mean everything, was simple then. Your responsibility was on sitting with your boyfriend/girlfriend during circle time, sharing your crayons, and playing with them at recess. See? Simple. Now? Not so much. Dating, especially in your 20s is, for lack of better words interesting.

And it isn’t that the truth?
21, just shy of 22 years ago, a firecracker of a woman gave birth to a bundle of sass.
Hello beautiful people. My name is Tatyana—Tink or Taty for short—I’m a 21-year-old Maryland raised but Tucson working girl enjoying this thing we call life.
Writing has been a passion of mine since I was in fourth grade, writing “books” with no stable plot and characters that desperately needed therapy. The thought of writing for the entire world to see was never a thought of mine. I was a ..read more

There’s something euphoric about seeing a new place for the first time. You never quite think that you will make it there, but you read about it, see tweets about it, and even dream about it. Then one day, it becomes your reality.
This has been my reality three times in the past three years.
For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of seeing the world. I yearned to spend my days in London drinking tea and eating biscuits, falling in love in Italy, and vacationing in Japan learning as much as I could about the Asian culture. What I didn’t know is that none of that would happen, and ins ..read more
