Notice the gloves on the offensive lineman…something that was very common during this era.

Today’s photo is of the Cheap Seats Bus, which is located in right field at Clemson’s Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Started in January 2003 by Dave Topham, Frank Murphy, Bryan Griffiths, and 15 other Clemson students, the "Cheap Seats" is a mini-bus that has been transformed into a tailgating machine.

Prior to the WWII, very few Clemson students had access to cars. But as cadets came home from Europe and the Pacific, they were settling into homes and purchasing cars at a rapid pace.
Obviously, parking was an issue at Clemson in the mid 1940’s, as it is today!

Today’s photo is of a great looking classic car decked out in Tiger Orange!
The picture was taken on a fall afternoon in Clemson prior to a football game in the mid 1960’s.
You can also note the fiberglass Tiger on top of the car, which was owned at the time by Ruby Ellenburg who lived in Liberty.

Today we will step back to February of 1973 and a record breaking snowstorm that hit South Carolina and provided some fun for Clemson students when classes were cancelled.

Cook came to Clemson in 1966 as Interim Director of Bands while John H. Butler pursued his doctoral degree at the University of Georgia.
