While I was working on creating the document that lists all the wineries and some pertinent details about each of them, I came across details I couldn’t find so I reached out directly to the wineries. I had a thought that it might be neat to also get to meet up intentionally for an interview with folks from the wineries. I wanted to learn more about the winery and the people behind them that keep the wine flowing.

I wasn’t sure I even wanted to write about this. Truly conveying how things affect us isn’t always easy. We are each so intricate and different we can’t possibly begin to understand how life affects one another. I noted that more often now I try to give myself insight as to what someone might be going through. It might explain the reason they are sad or happy or even indifferent. We can’t ever know, but it does help to be more sympathetic and understanding as human beings. I’ve found that in this process, I was to a point where I didn’t mind sharing a small insight into what transpired over th ..read more

I often keep my eyes focused on the future, what might happen, where are we headed, and so on. I realize there are important things to focus on now too. Right here in the moment. My family for one, they are the heart and soul of who I am. Adventures for another, we were always on that once or twice a year trip lifeline, in between our souls would long for the beach or the trip/adventure of choice. Then I started thinking it would be fun to travel once we retired. Maybe to have an RV and roam for longer periods and to have that freedom to travel more often.
Then 2020 happened and we found Youtu ..read more

Rappahannock Cellers Tasting
Linguine Cardinale at Filomena Ristorante…YUM!!!
Yea that eclaire is massive.
When a girl finds Gluten-free Gnocchi and wants a sauce kind of like the Cardinale lobster sauce from the Linguine Cardinale but she is too far away, she makes it herself minus the lobster.
Beautiful hat my friend made for me. I have the best friends ever.
Peace, love and happiness to all!

Yes, 2021 WILL continue to be amazing. Moving forward with a positive heart and joyful happiness.
I did commit to some new goals and received some beautiful Christmas presents that have and will continue to help me with the goals. I discovered art journaling and well, I love it, not so much art involved it is mostly writing and noting goals and feelings and thoughts. Love it!!!!! I dropped into my go-to learning hub to take a class on editing videos, but instead a class called Art Journaling for Self-Care caught my attention so I took that one instead. The best decision I ever made was signing ..read more

We often hear, how many wineries did you go to? Then I feel a little shy like folks might be judging us when they ask in that surprised voice, lol.
What is our secret? How do we visit multiple wineries in one day without overdoing it? No big secret. We share a tasting or as the case may be at the moment we share a flight. Most places are only doing self-guided flights or tastings due to Covid. First of all, it is a money saver and second of all when we go on a trip like this we are simply wanting to see what various wineries have to offer and if we would like to add a bottle or two of their ..read more

Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies to be exact.
Yes, for the love of sweets I wanted some cookies that were gluten-free but without a premade flour. I’ve come up with my new favorite gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. I’ve always made them but just used gluten-free flour from King Arthur. This is great don’t get me wrong, but I’ve been wanting to switch it up AND I was out of my King Arthur Measure for Measure gluten-free flour. I wanted cookies right this minute! So what is a girl to do? Well pull out every damn ingredient in the cupboard and find something that will work.
I had recently made ..read more

Well food is fun and eating good can be a lot of fun once you find a few quick and easy meals to have under your belt. Plus having a handful of foods you just enjoy snacking on make it very easy. Me, I love clementines and granny smith apples with some peanut butter.
I’ve spent some time looking around and found some fabulous folks who offer their amazing recipes and great ideas. Youtube is a great place to check out when looking into eating Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan too.
Some of my favorite folks I subscribe to on Youtube:

I’ve begun doing research for what we’ll need to eventually hit the road full-time. We don’t know how long we want to be on the road. For certain we know we would like to make that happen sooner rather than later. We don’t mind being on the road in our later years but would surely like to make it happen sooner. So while we’ve been looking at our options for an RV or van, there are other things that are needed. Like remote jobs and such. I’m fairly lucky that I’ve been remote working for almost 3 years now. Since January of 2018, I’ve been with a great company where I get to grow and learn. I ..read more

I’ve already taken a couple of classes, one to help me with designing my quilt and now another to help me brush up on organizing my blog. I found a free class to help me learn more about WordPress which will help me when editing my website and blog.
I kept hearing about Skillshare and then I was perusing Giving Assistant and saw they offered $3.50 cash back so I figured why not give them a try, plus they offer a free trial period so it was a no-brainer for me.
