Hello: I am a friend from China and bought a second-hand Cisco 8811 phone with sip protocol. I would like to ask if it can be configured on IPPBX? The phone can obtain the IP address normally, but cannot access the web. submitted by /u/zhimingwangluo [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is anyone here beta testing the new VoIP.ms server? I’ve set up dozens of phones inn this service with no problem. However, i can’t figure this one out. It may be because it’s a beta server product or maybe because I’m attempting to connect to a Canadian server from the US - but neither really make sense when I troubleshoot this with other devices set up on the same account Is anyone else beta testing this Toronto server? If so i’d like to compare notes. submitted by /u/Jeff-PB [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, I’m using a number of Yealink mp52 models and was excited to use the Teams Hotline feature, the only issue is now the screen gets cut off half at the bottom and it just looks bad, also the date/time sits at top not sure why with a big blue line around it. Has anyone else used this phone for the hotline feature and did you have similar issues? Image attached of what I see. Any help appreciated, yealink won’t return my emails. submitted by /u/After_Midnight_10 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does anyone here have experience working with them? As an end user I've been trying to track down a specific vanity DID, which their sales team has confirmed they could procure. But their KYC compliance solution seems geared towards resellers, automatically rejecting every one of my submissions. Any followups went unanswered. Do they only work with other wholesellers? The one time I managed to get a sales rep on the phone, they were remarkably evasive on this. Is this some sort of legal obligation, or are they just being reticent? If anyone knows more about their requirements, please lemme kn ..read more

Thank in advance for any thoughts or advice you can give. So I'm running Five9 Softphone on a Windows 10 pro host, windows 10 pro VM thru the inbuilt Hyper-V. I switched from VMware to this because VMware would randomly disconnect my microphone for some reason. I have audio from host and VM going to headset, and for input, the VM uses 'virtual audio' which is a standalone mic (#1) going through Nvidia Broadcast for the background noise cancellation, and everything else on the PC uses the headset mic (#2). I still get the issue when I turn off Nvidia broadcast so it's not that. Everything is c ..read more

Hey people, I am currently taking over a contract and I would like to add some new phones to our system (cortex). Unfortauntely our system needs the T33 phones to be on an older version, however on Yealink website they only provide the current one. Does anyone know any repository where I could find older FWs? Thanks submitted by /u/Bolyki [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey guys I'm new in the world of pbx / sip etc. I've been trying to figure out a way to do this doing a lot of searching but haven't found a definite solution. Lets say I have a sip provider that I access with login info they provide (user, pass , sip.url.com ) etc. What I would like to do is be able to use my own url with the provided user/ pass and redirect to sip.url.com. i want to be able to us this on the softphone of my choosing (zoiper, eyebeam, microsip etc) I have read about getting a domain and somehow linking it to cloudfare and set up an SRV Or can i just set up port forwarding on ..read more

3.5mm adapter for Yealink phones.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good 3.5mm TRRS to RJ9 or USB A that would allow me to use my IEM with Mic cable on a Yealink T53W. I have tried Bluetooth connection, but with very little success with the devices I have access to, so I would rather have no fuss wired connection to the phone. The only option I saw was the Yealink YHC20-UC, but was wondering if a standard USB A to 3.5mm adapter would work as well. I am avoiding the headsets as they are either not comfortable, too expensive, or frankly too big as I do need a more discrete option. submitted by /u/Highfighter219er [visit redd ..read more

Hi everyone! I screen all phone numbers of potential clients who want to meet me. Usually if they're using a text app, it will come up as Iristel- but lately I've been seeing a lot of Distributel Communications Limited Located in Toronto, Canada. The answers google gives me are confusing. Is this a VOIP/text app/fake number? TIA! submitted by /u/keepthefvith [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
