Dunmore Cemetery Tour: Drive-Through Edition Take a trip through history with the Dunmore Cemetery Tour: Drive-Through Edition on Oct. 10, at the cemetery, 400 Church St., Dunmore. Taylor native Matt Gawel took home a big prize for his huge pumpkin. Gawel’s pumpkin, grown at his grandmother’s home on Union Street in Taylor, earned first place, weighing in at 1,767 pounds, during the Ridgefield Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Sunday in Connecticut. The site serves as a weigh station of the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth, the official giant pumpkin group. In addition to receiving the $2,500 first-place prize for the heaviest pumpkin, Gawel also sold the pumpkin to Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Twp., New Jersey, for $1,767, a dollar a pound.
