The bible is very clear. “I shall not tell lies.”, actually that’s a line from Harry Potter but in all seriousness it’s one of the commandments. And while we’ve all told lies at some point in our life there’s one I’ll be forever grateful that I told. As I think back on the time of my life of that bittersweet graduation season none of us really knew where I lives would end up. We sure thought we did though. As those final days passed us by and we signed the last yearbooks we made a promise. A promise that little did we know most of us would never keep. “We will always be friends!”, we cried as ..read more

With each season of my life, Easter brings new meaning to my life. As a new Christian years ago it brought up feelings of hope and undeserved salvation. In a later season it stirred up feelings of grace and freedom but in this new season of life as a mother my thoughts dwell on this woman. Her name is Mary, although you probably didn’t need me to tell you that. This woman was no doubt her son’s biggest disciple. I even cherish the boo boo’s as I kiss them away because I know it means I’ll get a few extra moments of snu ..read more

I started focusing on my failures and was left with the feeling that I don’t measure up to God’s standards. After a few days of this I started to question my own salvation. After praying about it for a few weeks ..read more

Take a stroll through social media and blog posts and it doesn’t take long to notice a fast growing trend when it comes to mommies everywhere. It would appear writi5blog posts complaining about how much your children get on our nerves or have disrupted our daily routines of life are everywhere. Must be big business in whining about our kids. I’ve seen posts from mothers patronizing how stupid it is that they have to play pretend with their children or how they pooped and painted the floor with it. Am I saying motherhood is easy? No. No I’m not but I am left wondering what happened to the moms ..read more
