Ive been working at Walmart for less than a month and have been working my ass off everyday, doing my own department before lunch and then proceeding to help others out in theirs. I think that this might just help me proceed but some posts on here say otherwise, to be smart with what I do and how much I do. So just wanted you guys to give me your opinions on this. submitted by /u/Range_Physical [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Just went from part time to full time and was wondering how pto works? Does it build up every day u work like the ppto does? Or will I still get ppto or what? Also can I use it like ppto like if I need to come in an hour late or leave an hour early? submitted by /u/GermanShepherdMom1 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So I am thinking about signing up for Live Better U or the college program that Walmart uses for any associates who are interested in joining. I want to get a job in the tech industry doing something that would involve working with computer hardware or I’d also be interested in Information Technology or Cybersecurity or Programming. What are my options if I do sign up? Or is it too late to sign up? Am I going to have to wait until the Fall 2024 semester? Also how does the college through Walmart thing work? I have been living in my home state of North Dakota my whole life and I want to get a ..read more

every teamlead has a differing rule for when to use PPTO Teamlead A says - i cant use PPTO unless i have a valid reason, i.e; sick, dying, family stuff Teamlead B says - i cant use it Unless i get finished with my work (in my case, picks and staging), or if it's busy, i cant use it My coach is more leanient, but still doesnt allow it when i ask most of the time is there any limit to the use of PPTO? Or are my higher ups lying to me submitted by /u/Chara-Dreemurr494 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

If the "proper" way to make a bowl of cereal is bowl>cereal>milk>spoon, then the way most customers would do it is bowl>milk>grab spoon>spend 10 minutes staring at the cereals>go out for waffles>throw away bowl of milk when the smell can no longer be ignored submitted by /u/Insanebrain247 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

(Long rant apoligies) In the year that I have worked for this company so far these are one of the most chaotic times at best. As the title states in Walmart culture is it more people bossing others around then actually knowing what there process is? Perfect example being on my cap1 team we have a bunch of new associates and currently no TL so our coach is encouraging everyone to "take action" by everyone requesting reports and everyone have a copy of the roster in the morning meetings. In other words even the newbies are riding the power trip and it leaves the vets like myself on the team to ..read more
