Friends Central Perk Review!
The Brick Dragon

Years ago, when the Friends set was approved as a LEGO Ideas set, I was pretty bummed out. I think that other potential sets from that review period were far more interesting to me than a set based on a sitcom from the 90s.  I am big enough to admit that I was wildly wrong in this case. After binging the whole show in two months and introducing it to my brother, I received the Central Perk LEGO set for my birthday, and I could not be happier with it. (Spoilers, I guess? I really like this set.)  The set comes with 1,070 pieces and seven Minifigures. It still retails for $59.99 in the ..read more

News from LEGO Con!
The Brick Dragon

Through an improbable act of ignorance, I forgot that LEGO Con was happening today. I barely managed to catch the tail end of the live stream since my nose had been in a book the whole morning. This live stream also served as a celebration of LEGO's 90-year history, and I was bummed that I missed seeing most of the show live. What I did catch was entertaining, but the highlights of the day were the many reveals of upcoming sets. While you can still watch LEGO Con online, sitting through hours of a livestream can be an arduous task. So, for the unlucky souls like myself, here is a recap of the ..read more

Wolverine Mech Armor Set Review!
The Brick Dragon

Historically, the X-Men have been a marginalized group of the Marvel Universe, and somehow this has also transferred over to the way LEGO releases X-Men sets. Due to the film rights for the X-Men being at 20th Century Fox, the mutants have received only a handful of sets over the ten years of LEGO Marvel Superheroes. But at long last, LEGO has graced us with a new set for the X-Men!   Set Details: Wolverine Mech Armor Price: $9.99 Pieces: 141 Minifigures: 1 Year: 2022 For me, the worst part about this set was simply finding a copy of it. I am a stubborn person and I was unwilling to ..read more

The Brick Dragon

LEGO has recently dropped images of the upcoming LEGO The Batman sets for us all to enjoy. We have images of four sets at this time, and to be completely honest, I think they are all great. I was actually concerned that we were not going to get sets based off of this movie because of how dark the trailers for the film have been so far. But I am happy to report that this is not the case! So let's take a look at these sets ..read more

Mega Construx Halo Warthog Rally
The Brick Dragon

To say that I am usually late to reviewing sets is a massive understatement. This is honestly the norm that I have set for myself these days. So, in this fashion, I will review the Mega Construx Warthog Rally set a year after it came out. (Granted, I didn't pick up a copy until a few days ago.) This set comes with 314 pieces and retails for $29.99 in the United States.  Building this set was a treat. I hadn't built a full Mega Construx set in a while. I think the only other full set that I own is the Xenomorph Queen from their Aliens lineup. Building this set was so different fro ..read more

After yesterday's news, we now have full renders of the upcoming sets based on the Siege of Mandalore arc from The Clone Wars! I am in love with these sets, and I am super excited to see them release.  First up, we have the Duel on Mandalore, which will come with 147 pieces and it will retail for $19.99 in the US. I still think that the set is a bit barebones, but it is pretty packed with features for its size. I am loving the new Maul figure and the prison is really cool.  The Mandalorian Starfighter will come with 544 pieces and it will retail for $59.99 USD. I think ..read more

Upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets revealed!
The Brick Dragon

The upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets have been revealed through a Japanese LEGO Catalogue. This is the most exciting wave of LEGO Star Wars sets we have had in a while. We are getting sets based on both the Mandalorian and The Clone Wars, which I think are shows the Star Wars lineup has sorely lacked.  I think that the Clone Wars sets are the most exciting from this wave. I am very excited that we finally get Bo-Katan and Gar Saxon. The Mandalorian shuttle looks really nice as well. The Throne Room Duel set is a great choice of a set. I would have considered picking it up if I had ..read more

LEGO Marvel Tony Stark's Sakaarian Iron Man revealed!

The upcoming Disney + Marvel LEGO set has finally been revealed! It is Tony Stark's Sakaarian Iron Man. The set will retail for $34.99 and it comes with 369 pieces and three Minifigures.  This set is interesting to say the very least. I honestly feel like this just yet another Hulkbuster set. I have a hard time getting excited about these because I already have two of them. The build of this set is also going to be super specific to just the show, and it won't have the universal appeal of the other versions. It is not like it is a bad build or anything; I actually think it looks pretty ..read more
