3 Weeks That Unstick Your Life

I could subtitle this lots of different ways, but "How Animals and Humans in the Wilds of Italy Conspired To Catapult My Life Forward" is probably the most accurate. Those of you who read my Facebook posts know that something utterly different and transformative occurred for me in Europe this May-June, but I haven't shared it until now. The changes in me and in my life have been so profound and they keep coming. Awarenesses of deeply buried limiting beliefs and behaviors keep arriving at meteoric speed for release. As we know, growth is not a cushy comfortable ride. But, my goodness, if I c ..read more

A Wake Up Call from Therapy Horses

PHOTOS OF 81 doing his incredible work at Hopes, Dreams and Horses - Jupiter, FLA Despite all we know (in the world of well-meaning humans), animals still have so much to teach us, especially about our blind spots. In my experience, no animals are more committed to our growth and awakening -even at their own expense - than horses, especially those on the front line of healing: therapy horses. When these horses start acting out, it is for a good reason and not necessarily because they need a vet or they're boycotting their job. The following, I hope, will catch the eye of some of those who do ..read more

A Cricket Changes My Life

INSECTS. We exterminate them. Crush them. Curse them. We fear them. We loathe them. We cringe with revulsion because we don't like the way they look. Even if they are utterly harmless and cause no damage. But do we know anything about them, really? Well, a few species, notably crickets and palmetto bugs have graced me with more incredible insights than I can fit on a page. Some of the things they've told me brought me to tears - primarily because we humans HAVE NO IDEA...we are so in the dark about how animals really live that it's painful to start seeing the truth. But here are just a few oth ..read more

The Animal World is Evolving

Despite what we see all around us, many of us know - or at least feel - that we are awakening and moving forward (albeit kinda slowly). Well, this progress is occurring among wild and domesticated animals as well - and even at a faster rate, when humans don't get in the way. Here, a leopard, a chimpanzee and a couple of amazing horses explain how they're experiencing it: Leopard: “As much is changing here in the jungle as in the human world. Energetic upgrades mean lower vibrational beings – ones who cannot rise higher – are leaving the Earth. (As I’ve said before – we let go much more easily ..read more

Even if they are utterly harmless and cause no damage. But do we know anything about them, really? Well, a few species, notably crickets and palmetto bugs have graced me with more incredible insights than I can fit on a page. But here are just a few points that shook my whole perspective: Cricket: "Our relationship with humans has worn many faces throughout history. We were prized pets in ancient Egypt and China. When Your Animals Act Out.......

(They are often showing you imbalances in your relationships....if you're willing to see) Birds told me long ago “Contrary to popular belief, we don’t dive-bomb people to be cruel or protective of our young; we are sometimes trying to catch someone’s attention and wake them up to a problem in their life that needs to be fixed and is causing them misery. Our ways appear crude to the human perception. Our messages are not understood because humans could never fathom that they have any meaning, or that we might know something that they don’t about themselves." Well our domestic animal partners a ..read more

Is Your Cat Aloof? Think Again...

(They're not all here with the same purpose......) I've never been able to establish a solid connection with my boyfriend's cat. Granted, when Mister T and I moved in, we upset the apple cart of her peaceful 7-year existence that consisted of her, her human man, and a lot of blissful alone time, mostly in deep sleep. But, even with Mister T no longer in form, she has shown no interest in communicating with me and delivers nothing more than an occasional, brief brush against my leg. She is easily irritated by movements that are a bit too swift or too close or just ill-timed. So I've given her a ..read more
