When I started off in 2014, I envisaged this patchwork of gardens that are that little bit more sustainable. Collectively, they would support biodiversity, wellbeing and regenerate nature. What I have come to realise is that for this to really happen, I need to look beyond garden design and landscaping. I need to look at all the people that use these gardens. Their knowledge and skills to respond to their garden sustainably is as important as creating the garden.
