A Belvedere Wedding for Taylor & Erik

Let me tell you about the most perfect June wedding! Nestled in the charming town of Wakefield, Quebec, Taylor and Erik’s big day unfolded at the breathtaking Le Belvédère venue. With the sun beaming down and casting a warm glow on everything, it was a picture-postcard kind of setting. But the true magic went beyond the scenery. The love between Taylor and Erik radiated from them in every smile and stolen glance. Taylor, even more stunning than the venue itself (and that’s saying something!), had poured her heart and soul into the décor. Most of the decorations were her handiwork, adding a tou ..read more

Last summer, amidst the vibrant tapestry of the Eastern Townships in Quebec, unfolded a love story as rich and beautiful as the landscape itself. Tamara and Julian, two souls intertwined by their Ukrainian heritage, celebrated their union in a wedding that was both deeply personal and bursting with cultural charm. The sun beat down on a picture-perfect day, casting a warm glow on the idyllic setting of a Ukrainian camp. Surrounded by lush greenery and the joyous energy of their loved ones, Tamara and Julian exchanged vows in a ceremony that resonated with tradition and heartfelt emotion. The a ..read more

Victoria and Simon were married in Ottawa last summer in a micro-wedding in Rockcliffe Park. After the ceremony, we headed down to the Rideau Canal locks where they enter the Ottawa River and finally to Major’s Hill Park. As you can see, it was in the Fall and there was just enough colour to make everything extra gorgeous and fun to work. Joined by their parents and puppy, it was an intimate, emotion-filled event done just right. Wedding Planner: Pop-Up Wedding Ottawa Officiant: All Seasons Weddings (Luc Despatis ..read more

Hannah and Neil had the perfect Micro wedding last summer in Ottawa’s Andrew Hayden Park.  Micro weddings are the perfect solution for people who don’t want a big wedding but also want something more than going to city hall. In the case of Hannah and Neil this meant meeting up in Andrew Hayden Park under the guidance of Pop-up Weddings and All-Seasons Weddings. Our short time together was filled with and day’s worth of emotion and laughter. Callie & Evan’s Engagement Shoot

Last summer I met with Callie and Evan at Mill of Kintail in Mississippi Mills, Ontario for their engagement photos. I knew that it was going to be a fun shoot just based on our correspondence but the experience far surpassed my expectations. The location was great but Callie and Evan are so fun to be around and have a peaceful calm about them that makes them fantastic to be around. The best part is that I get to photograph their country-style wedding later this summer along with some other great clients!  Have a look at some of my favourites from this shoot. A Cottage Wedding for Kim & Craig

Last summer’s wedding season started later than usual for the usual reason these days. Once it started though, it was on full steam. Thanks to indoor restrictions many people used what they had at their disposal and went all in. This was the case for Kim and Craig who had their wedding at a family cottage in Gracefield for one of the most personal and beautiful weddings one could hope for. I don’t have the words to adequately describe Kim and Craig but can say that I haven’t laughed and cried so much in one day. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that my face hurt from all this ..read more

I met up with Isabelle and Phil in Wakefield last July. To reflect their outdoor life-style, we chose to drop their canoe into the Gatineau River by the Wakefield Bridge.  What you see here are a few of my favourite photos from the shoot. I’ll post their wedding in the weeks to come. The post An Engagement Shoot in Wakefield Quebec appeared first on Ottawa Wedding & Portrait Photography ..read more

Last summer there were a lot of mini/micro/tiny weddings. There have always been smaller weddings since the beginning of weddings, but thanks to Covid, it became “a thing”. This particular wedding happened in Ottawa’s Dominion Arboretum on a beautiful June Day last summer with Jenn & Charles. Dominique & Sean’s Micro Wedding

Last summer, Dominique & Sean had something that we had never really had a name for before – A Micro Wedding (aka Petite Wedding)! It’s not really a difficult concept let’s not make a big deal about it. A micro-wedding is exactly what the name suggests, it’s a small wedding so why does it need a name? Thanks to Covid-19, there were severe restrictions on the number of indoor and outdoor guests one could invite to a wedding. Many people also already had everything booked and decided to make the best of it by having a much smaller version of their originally planned wedding. This summer, man ..read more

Emily and Stefan’s Orange Gallery Wedding

Emily and Stefan’s Orange Gallery Wedding was a short, sweet, and wonderfully enjoyable wedding last summer. The day was characteristically hot which sounds so nice these days but we were happy to have the AC at the Gallery. Emily and Stefan were a joy to work with. They are a perfect blend of brilliant, thoughtful and fun which always amazes me when you think about the odds of a couple finding each other, but it’s great to see when they do.  We started the day by meeting for their couple shoot and enjoying one of the less busy areas of Ottawa. The ceremony was a great mix of intimate, fu ..read more
