Chambersburg Area Senior High School has had a rich and storied history in athletics, from nine PIAA state championship teams to individual state champions, to teams and players who are considered local legends. One thing has been missing from that history, however – an official recognition for all of those achievements. Kylee Miller, Mark DeCarli and Eric Shaner earned special recognition when the Mid Penn Conference revealed its spring sports all-star teams on Saturday. Miller, a senior pitcher for Chambersburg, was named the Commonwealth Division’s Player of the Year in softball. Miller has a 15-2 record for the Trojans. Greencastle-Antrim’s DeCarli is the Coach of the Year in softball for the Colonial Division.
