St. John’s Prep of course has won the last three (2021-2023) and look like the clear favorite right now in D1 as we head into the final few weeks of the regular season. The two programs met at L-S on the first truly perfect day for lacrosse this season and the Eagles’ defense bullied the Warriors offense at times, forcing numero ..read more

By Mike Flanagan (@flano0) DEDHAM – It was almost the exact same storyline as last season’s classic between Belmont Hill and Nobles when the teams met again on Wednesday. With both teams chasing the ISL regular season title in 2023, Belmont fell behind early and rallied to win by three behind big performances by Will DiBattiista (Lafayette) and Preston Evans (Virginia). History repeated itself on Wednesday afternoon in Dedham, but this time with some added dramatics. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-1 lead and led for the entirety of the first half before DiBattista (3 goals, 6 assists) and Eva ..read more

By Owen Hart Boston Lax Correspondent DORCHESTER – The last time BC High and St. John’s Prep met in the 2023 D1 state championship, there were 30 goals scored with Prep winning in a wild affair. It was a much different story this time around on Tuesday, but the same result. A slow and methodical defensive battle ensued when the teams met for the first time after having an initial meeting postponed by rain a few weeks ago, with the defending champs grinding out a 7-4 win. Both goalies were outstanding. Prep’s Max Putney (8 saves) and Mattheus DuPlessis (6 saves) split the duties each half while ..read more
