Have you tried my buddy Donnie’s Sazerac cocktail or Smoky Old Fashioned recipe yet? No time like the present! Make sure to check them out too and pin them for later. Or plan a cocktail party and try them all! Maybe add some food like these Fancy Sandwiches too. They go over like hot chocolate on a snowy day! Today we have a drink for you that was originally (it dates back to the 1870s!) known as a Continental Sour (and was created in Chicago- not New York) and then a Southern Whiskey Sour but is most commonly called a New York Sour now. This tasty New York Sour Cocktail treat d ..read more

Before I introduce this Sazerac cocktail I have to introduce my friend Donnie! He is a top notch mixologist and currently the bar manager at Industrial Tap House right around the corner from me in Ashland VA.  Donnie was born a Jersey boy but raised all over the East Coast as a proud kiddo to military parents. He started landing bartending gigs in college and pours some of the best libations around! Want to make a Classic Sazerac? Everyone say, “Hi, Donnie!” Let’s get this (cocktail) party started! Donnie filled a martini glass with ice and water to have it nice and chilled to serve ..read more

Aaaarrrrrr! Avast ye mateys! What do you do with all that Captains left over from the Buttered Rum at Christmas? This- right here- you make a nice dark Strawberry Daiquiri Cocktail fit for a pirate- or any swash buckling kindred! Shiver me timbers! This frosty concoction is mostly fruit and love- maybe a little sea water if the ocean is choppy… a little sweat if you’ve been out at sea a while…   They say the cure for everything is salt water- sweat, tears or the ocean… maybe I should add a pinch of salt to the recipe! HA! [amazon_link asins=’B076QJHTZX,B072F433T5,B0758JHZM3′ template=’P ..read more

OMG! This is the cutest Easter cocktail ever! Boozy Bunny Shots are like Easter candy for grown ups! I can’t take the credit for this awesome idea. A friend tagged me when she saw this adorable “Truffle Bunny Shot” from Delish posted on facebook, but here is my take on it because it is just too damn cute not to share! I changed the actual shot recipe to make a “Hyper Samoa” cocktail- made with Kahlua, Godiva Chocolate liquor and Malibu. So basically it tastes like the traditional Samoa girl scout cookie all jacked up on coffee! MMMMMMM! Can you tell I’m excited about this!? So, I’ll walk you ..read more
