Dont know if I am really qualified to write on this topic, but having lost my husband 2 years ago and after going through the turmoil, I want to share things which people miss or are afraid to do. When Chao suddenly passed away following a cardiac arrest, life came to a standstill. Watching the doctors trying to revive him for an hour and being alone in that hospital for 3 hours since he had gone, I had gone completely quiet, broken down but I did not collapse. I was doing all that was required. My phone was ringing continuously with the word having spread like wildfire and I was pickin ..read more

In our lifetime,  we had never ever imagined that we would see such a day. The whole country on an enormous lockdown for 75 days. Everyday was a struggle it seems, though right now we are all settled in the confines of our homes – eating, sleeping, cooking, cleaning, spending time with family & kids and also working. Not only our country but the whole world is on a standstill – a lockdown trying to fight this dreadful disease which has struck all mankind. How it struck, from where it emerged, lots of theories are doing the rounds. All I want to say is that someone became a reason or s ..read more

Writing – a fine art or maybe not

Writing. It always defied me. A few words. A few sentences. What is it all about? Just a combination of thoughts and feelings. What you want to say, what you feel can be expressed in so many different ways. Different people will express it differently. But writing is a fine art, that’s what was always said. You cannot write, what do you know about writing? Your English has to be impeccable, you have to have command over language. So I never gave it a thought. Felt – I cant do it. Sometimes I shared it with my husband and he said- it is somewhere deep within you. It will find its passage when t ..read more

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! After months I have opened my blog and starting the new year with hope to continue writing something or the other that I want to express. When I started this blog, it was supposed to be about road trips and journeys, but as life kept going by and teaching me lessons, I realised I could also write about this journey called LIFE. All this while work has been consuming me and not had the time to think, travel, write or express myself. Time has been flying by and the emptiness has been sucking me in. Writing here – this space – was my escape or should I say my way to express my t ..read more

Today it’s 3 years since Chao crossed over to the other world and left me here alone. Reminds me of everything that happened that day. A usual day in our lives I thought but it turned out to be something else. Devastating and a day that I would never forget all my life till the day I died. Because I lost the love of my life, my best friend, my everything. I can recall all the feelings that I went through that day. Sometimes I wonder if so much can happen in one day or if someone can go through so many different feelings in one day. It was a beautiful morning, we were happy. It was raining and ..read more

I know I’ve not been regular in writing my blog – but lots is going on in my mind. When I started this blog, I thought that this blog will be dedicated to only road trips and the amazing journeys I have taken and will take on different roads in India and abroad. And so the journey started. I wrote every time I took a road trip and since I had no companion and had no new or latest car, I ended up carpooling a lot and Roadtrippers Club was my only companion and saviour. With my Chao (my husband) gone, I was left feeling desolate, lonely, heartbroken, depressed and broke. In this fast running lif ..read more

In my short life (don’t know if I should call it short or long), I have learnt many lessons just as each one of us does. When we are born we do things as our parents teach us. Then school takes over. We follow the advice of our teachers. Study, read, play. Brick by brick we build our lives and become what we are. Then adolescence and education followed by college and then the never stopping grind of jobs. Life goes on! I was brought up much the same way just like anyone else. But my foundation was very very strong. I can say that today cause I follow the same values that I was taught growi ..read more

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Firstly I’d like to apologise for not being regular and posting for two months. Hardly travelled and was busy with shifting home. Thought this would be the last time for a few years, but life had other plans. Made a mistake by not thinking it through and just hated the place, environment, vibes, water, air. When everything feels negative, there is something wrong. Like life stopped for a few months. So again decided to move and so moving into my new house before this year ends. I’m hoping 2019 will be different for me and more successful and settling. Just tired of all the up ..read more

After having completed a project successfully and the recent stress in my life (I know I keep complaining, but life is life), I was so looking forward to this road trip. Especially since I got my Dhanno repaired and just got it back – all new (hope so), I was looking forward to a safe trip without any troubles with my car. My Zen Estilo has never ever let me down or stopped on me in the 10 years that I’ve had it. We’ve travelled thousands of kilometres with it and it has been such a boon in our lives. We were so satisfied and happy with it, that we didn’t ever bother looking at other newer bra ..read more
