My opinion right after watching the movie My opinion right after watching the film is that I am really tired of these sequels, especially all of the contrivances that are forced to make it into a reality. The movie still remains the slight charm that made the first one so endearing, but the characters and plot start to wear on my nerves. Hello everyone. I am going to just ramble my feelings, and see where one point leads to, since I haven’t posted anything in 5 months, and I have dealt with a little bit of….. disinterest. I still love animation, specifically animated film, and am still looking forward to what future years will bring to it. My opinion right after watching the movie My opinion right after watching it is that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would be lying if I said that there weren’t some obvious flaws to it (mainly with the characters), but the people who they decide to focus on are very good. I like how the franchise always adds onto previous lessons, and adds another layer to it, without it feeling repetitive, or a complete 180, where sequels always fall under one or another. I am glad that the box office for the film was low enough for them to hopefully get the point that they need to be more creative, take more risks, and add more depth into their movies. Laika has such a huge reputation for their great films, and this film was just……. good at best. It kind of dragged, the premise was not interesting, and I kind of got bored at times. My opinion right after watching the movie So…….. I watched the movie when it initially came out, and……… I thought that it was fine. Several months later, I still….. think it’s fine, but very forgettable. While there was always some predictability in the prior films, there were many other standout moments that makes everything stand out.
