Round 5 projection: The Browns tight end room is one man down
The Cleveland Browns need a good young tight end to contribute and groom. David Njoku made the Pro Bowl last year and is considered a viable threat in the offense. Jordan Akins remains a roster member despite having poor stats last season.
By bringing in Theo Johnson, the team would add a good blocker with long arms and length. He is adept at hauling in passes and is a nightmare when running free downfield. Raised in Canada and went to a program that spits out great tight ends.

I was hoping that one of the elite corners (Mitchell or Arnold) would fall to #17, but Latu is a nice consolation. After re-signing Josh Allen to a big 5-year deal, Latu gives the Jags a push rushing d ..read more

Paying top dollar in free agency can be crippling
Just over a week away from the NFL draft, NFL free agency has basically ground to a halt. While there are a few big-name players like Ryan Tannehill, Tyler Boyd, Odell Beckham Jr. and others still left on the market, free agency has seen almost all of the splash moves come and go.
This offseason, Chris Jones, Kirk Cousins, Brian Burns, Josh Allen, Christian Wilkins and many others cashed in with big deals. While the NFL draft loses some of its value due to the salary cap boom, spending money at the top of the mar ..read more

Justin Murray signed with the Browns practice squad in November
There are a lot of big moves coming up in the league with the NFL draft a little over a week away. Big trades have been rumored while smaller deals are all but guaranteed during and shortly after the draft.
For the Cleveland Browns, six draft picks (after trading away OT Leroy Watson) could be used in a variety of ways. CB Greg Newsome II is not worried about trade rumors involving his name but still could be on the market.
Today came news that the Browns placed three players on the reserve/retire ..read more

Cleveland’s draft class filled with players who still need work but have nice upside.
Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry heads into next week’s 2024 NFL Draft with six draft picks at his disposal.
That number could change between now and the conclusion of the draft as Berry has never been shy about making a trade to move around in the draft or add additional picks for down the road.
For now, at least, the Browns are scheduled to make their first selection in Round 2 with the No. 54 overall pick and their final selection in Round 7 with the No. 243 ov ..read more

Could Isaiah Davis be Cleveland’s ideal mid-late round RB target?
The Cleveland Browns are heading into the 2024 NFL Draft with a plethora of positions in mind, and running back is surely one of them.
Nick Chubb will continue to be the talk of the offseason and for good reason. Nobody knows or can predict how he’s going to look when he makes it back onto the field. The Browns did a good job of adding to the running back room in free agency, but they need to add youth and playmaking potential behind these players who are on 1-year deals in D’O ..read more

Browns QB says there is no timeline for his return as he continues to focus on hitting his landmarks in recovery from shoulder surgery.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson provided an update on Tuesday regarding his surgically repaired shoulder and when he expects to be back on the field.
With players and coaches in Berea for the beginning of the club’s voluntary offseason program, Watson met with the media to discuss his shoulder and the potential changes to the offense with Ken Dorsey replacing Alex Van Pelt as offensive coordinator.
