We recently had a San Francisco client tell us that he never considered using wallpaper before hiring us, as he assumed that all wallpaper was uncool and had Grandma vibes! Our interior design team was happy to introduce him to the world of contemporary wallpaper and to incorporate a few patterns into his home. There are so many wallpaper lines to choose from and our interior designers enjoy searching through showrooms to find the perfect patterns for our Bay Area design clients. Staying on top of the latest furniture designs is one of the most inspiring parts of our job as interior designers! I recently returned from a sourcing trip to Los Angeles where I visited some of Niche’s favorite luxury furniture showrooms, including Ralph Pucci, Apparatus Studio and Carpenters Workshop Gallery. Each design showroom has its own unique vibe and style; the common thread is handmade, bespoke, luxury furnishings and lighting.

Nestled among the palm trees and sunny streets of Los Angeles lies a collection of architectural gems that have left an indelible mark on the landscape of modern design. The Case Study Houses, a groundbreaking experiment in residential architecture, stand as testaments to the innovative spirit of mid-20th century California. Born out of post-war optimism and a desire to redefine the way we live, these homes have not only shaped the architectural discourse but have also become cultural icons, embodying the ideals of simplicity, functionality, and forward-thinking design.
