If you’ve been following me on instagram, you’ll have seen that we’re busy with a bathroom renovation – oh my there is SO. MUCH. DUST. Be still my beating heart – I’ve followed the beauty of VIPP for ages, but this kitchen takes the obsession to a whole new level. Spotted on est living, The Vipp Chimney House by Studio David Thulstrup in Copenhagen is a heritage-listed building which was converted into a guest house. Imagine staying here!? Nevermind the beauty of the hand-cut terrazzo floor, this space packs an extra punch with high ceilings, skylights, a 35-metre high minaret chimney and the hottest matt black VIPP units, as well as bespoke door handles and pendant lamps. I was last up at Design Joburg 2 years ago and am so excited to be going again this year. Even more so because Durban design team, Douglas and Douglas, will be launching their new furniture collection – go Durbs! This year, Tonic Design are curating and they’ve assembled a few powerhouse teams to showcase CoLab stands, so it’s set to be an amazing snapshot of the current South African interior design landscape.   I loved putting this collab together! Loads of Living sent me some of their brand new outdoor scatters made with Teflon-coated fabric, so they are UV and fade resistant, resistant to mould, water & stains! Plus they come in such a beaut range of colours and prints – I immediately thought of holidays at the coast and lazy entertaining around the pool in summer.
