Hello lovelies, Happy September! I feel the same way about a new month as i do about a new week – it’s an opportunity to set the record straight, to clear the decks and to set new intentions. 1 September also marked a month of using FUTURELIFE BEAUTIFOOD as part of my every day. It started as a 28-day challenge set by the brand and i’ve decided to continue my journey – it has proven to be so beneficial and i really do rate it.   So the journey started with the delivery of this Futurelife BEAUTIFOOD Value Pack – it comes with 14 sachets in two different flavours, Caramel Latte and Vanilla ..read more

Hello lovelies, happy Friday! It’s been a short week but it’s also been a long week – squashing all that needs to be done into four days, i couldn’t be happier that it’s the weekend! We don’t have many plans for the next two days although i know a walk is on the horizon and after all the rains, i know our nearby green belt is going to be lush and beautiful. Leaning into focusing on and sharing more tips to save water feels all the more relevant at the moment because despite the fabulous rains we’ve been having, we all know that reality can change in a heartbeat – we’ve only just come out of a ..read more

There’s so much going on in the world and even though it’s winter, being reminded of the planet’s ongoing water crisis and reassessing our daily water habits feels like such a purposeful thing to key into. In the next two posts i’ll be sharing our 10 Water Saving Hacks at Home – being so close to home all the time has made me reassess so much that’s happening in our immediate world. This series is a result of a collaboration I’m doing with Nedbank – I’ve actually been a client of theirs my whole life (my Dad worked there for decades) so I’ve always known about their environmental endeavou ..read more

Hello lovelies – how are you all doing?! If you’ve been following me on Insta, you’ll know that i’ve been making videos about ways i’m enjoying making cosy at home – by changing up small elements that make me happy and create a warm and welcoming and ‘happy-to-be-at-home’ atmosphere. Because lets face it – we’re not going anywhere for a while. So below are some elements that i feel are essential for creating a sense of hygge at home.     We’re tucked up under the mountain and so it’s important to me that come 4.30pm i start creating a sense of comfort at home. The fire will be blazi ..read more

Hello lovelies! Here is the second addition to my Franschhoek shops roundup. As i mentioned in the last post, last month i went to Franschhoek for the day as a guest of Franschhoek Tourism – my mission was not only to enjoy the sheer beauty of the valley surrounds, the delicious edible spoils that it’s so renowned for but also to seek out some of the shopping treasures waiting to be discovered. If you’re like me and love the thought of a little spoil to remind you of your time away somewhere special – well, then i’ve got some more Franschhoek shops to recommend. Take a look…   PEACOCK B ..read more

Hello lovelies! I hope this post finds you well. If you follow me on Instagram, where you’ll see my day-to-day life, the places i see and the things that inspire me, you will have seen i recently headed to Franschhoek for the day. I went as a guest of Franschhoek Tourism who invited me to come and experience some of their key retailers – and i’m so glad i did! I discovered some new spots and revisited some favourites i haven’t been to in absolute ages. The entire experience reminded me why Franschhoek is such a brilliant destination – for restaurants of course, but also for seriously rewarding ..read more

Hello lovelies! Not sure if you’re like me, but when you do your Christmas shopping, do you invariably end up wanting everything in sight?!! Every year i swear i will rein it in and every year i am cursed with the want disease! But sadly that has a disastrous effect on my bank balance! Given my currently ailing bank balance (and a very real need for summer sandals and a want for some soothing face products) when i was asked if i’d like to trial PayJustNow, i was intrigued! I had already seen the PayJustNow icon on the Sweetpeas site when i was browsing the other day, so i was already aware of ..read more

Laager Tea4Kids Rooibos Overnight Oats Jars

Hello lovelies! In true me fashion, i have a few posts i want to squeeze in before the end of the year. One of them is these oh-so-easy overnight oats and rooibos jars that are crammed with flavour and nutrients, plus (and this is the biggest plus for me), kids can grab them out the fridge and help themselves to breakfast (which is great news if you struggle to get up in the mornings on weekends and your kids hassle you to make them something to eat from the crack of dawn – are you feeling my pain?). They took all of five minutes to prep and the fruity Rooibos gives them such a malty taste…oh ..read more
