Costco does not accept coupons (Non-Costco coupons). However, members receive a coupon book each month with the discounts for that month. However, there are also often other discounts and rebates that are not advertised (as well as other deals due to items being discontinued (Price endings are not random)) This post discusses some of the deals at Costco for April, as it seems that people are interested in the timely deals.  1. Vitamix Venturist Pro Blender The article recommends this blender for people who like to create a variety of meals, drinks, or snacks. The blender has 10 speed ..read more

Costco Foods You Missed: At Least You Know About Them Now

My mom and I have always enjoyed spending a day here and there shopping . It could been for a specific purpose or “just because”. Even though we had the most success at the larger, non-mall stores, we liked walking around the malls and visiting stores we did not frequent as often. However, we noticed that, because we tended to go to the same few malls closest to our house, we knew where our favorite stores were. Therefore, we often walked past new stores or stores that might be fun to visit, despite being unlikely to buy anything. Furthermore, within the stores we liked, we knew the displ ..read more

Baseball Tickets from Costco

Growing up in Boston, seeing baseball games at Fenway Park was always a special experience. I liked baseball and seeing games in person was much better than watching on TV. It was always difficult to get tickets to Red Sox games but sometimes my family was able to get tickets. I was also invited at times by a friend and went a few times as a camp trip. Over the years, I have become less interested in baseball and have not seen a game at Fenway in years. However, it is good to know about the opportunity to buy tickets at Costco. I had no idea they sold them! As baseball season is just starting ..read more

Brunch by Costco: 25 menu suggestions

Brunch…such a wonderful meal. By calling it brunch, it seems to provide “permission” to eat more (hey, it’s two meals…so who cares if I eat enough for five meals) in general and more “indulgent” foods than for an everyday breakfast. It also seems like a very social and relaxed meal that can last a long time.  I associate brunch the most with visiting my grandparents. They hosted Sunday brunches every weekend for other relatives and I loved when we were visiting and got to be there. I’ve written about these meals before and how they contained enough food to have fed the entire building. I ..read more

It’s Spring! I love when Spring arrives because, although there are still cold days (and we often used to get snow in April), it means that the warmer, sunnier months are here. As I wrote about recently, Costco has seasonal items (Navigating Seasonal Items at Costco). In this post, I will write about some Spring items that are currently at Costco.  1. Mini Carrot Cakes These carrot cakes are made with raisins, walnuts, and cream cheese icing. There is a frosting carrot on top for decoration. They come in packs of six.  I am not going to buy these cakes but they certainly a ..read more

“Shrinkflation” at Costco

There are several terms or phrases in common parlance that I don’t love due to how often they are used (e.g., pivot; intentional). “Shrinkflation” falls into this category. However, because it is a common reference point, I will use it here. It refers to when items shrink in size or quantity but the price stays the same or even goes up. It occurs to enable companies to maintain their profit margins. I have mentioned off hand in other posts (when just commenting on item sizes) that items used to be larger (e.g., ice cream (Costco Wish List 2); yogurt (9 Best Costco Breakfast Foods for Weig ..read more

Costco is a great place to shop. We all know that. In addition, over the years of writing this blog, I have thought of other ways to get benefit from Costco. Yes, these posts are meant to be jokes but I do think some of them make sense…((Why Costco would be a good place for a dinner party); (Living at Costco: seasonal benefits); (On a Road Trip? Stop at Costco!); (Benefits of a nearby Costco on a beach vacation: Part 1 of 2)); (Benefits of a nearby Costco on a beach vacation: Part 2 of 2)).
