A new shared boys bedroom reveal is finally here! Welcome to our newest project: a bold blue and white shared kids room with just a touch of natural wood. I love how this fun pattern-filled kid space turned out. This family home is a modern dream, full of amazingly unique features and enough room in here to have two twin beds along a beautiful wall of giant windows peering out into a lush backyard. You will also see that an air conditioning unit is on the main wall and although many online photos don’t show this, I wanted you to see the real look at how to design around this common household i ..read more

These are our favourite energy bites for an easy grab and go snack for the whole family. My kids love them for a quick pick-me-up after school, before activities or anytime they are just looking for something yummy.
Using either a nut butter or tahini for a nut free alternative works and that means these can easily be popped into a lunch box for a nut-free school snack too. This easy to make in one bowl recipe keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. Simply add all ingredients together, mix with a sturdy spoon or your clean hands and roll to make bite size energy balls for toddlers to teen ..read more

“What if we just took a little break from our everyday?”, I said. “Pack our bags and take the kids around the world?”. In fairness, this conversation with my husband, Damien, started years ago. Let’s go on a big trip! When the kids are older, when we’re not working so hard, when we have the financial means, when, when, when…
A little mid-life refresh I’m calling it. Surely, we can rephrase the ol’ mid life crisis by now? With both of us firmly in our 40s and the kids teetering out of young childhood and very much transitioning into tweens, we thought there was no better time. We are going ON ..read more

We finally have a new room reveal! The first space of 2023 and it was made for the sweetest baby. Without a doubt, nurseries are the most special places to decorate. The excitement of a newborn, the beautiful choices available for babies, and the love that you feel when you walk in the room. Isabella’s nursery was a dream to design and I feel so honoured to be a tiny part of this beautiful family’s beginnings.
Isabella’s Mom has a great design eye and already knew that she wanted to include this forest wallpaper as a feature in the baby nursery so this was the piece that we worked with to crea ..read more

Happy New Year everyone! We’re back to January and that means a new plan for the year. For the first time ever, I’m getting really specific about what you can look for here this year as the world (and our little business) continues to shift post Covid.
This year, we’ll be back to the blog (!!) sharing makeovers from our rental house, finished client projects (yay!), how to’s for kids spaces and our curated roundups too. I love to try new things here and I might add in a few recipes and as always, our travel adventures over on Instagram stories. If there’s anything else that you’d like to see ..read more

If you follow our stories on Instagram, you’ll know by now that one of our family’s favourite thing to do together is play games. Our games cupboard sits prominently in our living room so the kids can easily access them at any time. Our kids are now 9 and 11 (the twins) and we’ve been playing games with them since they were toddlers. They often play games together independently, but we also play as a family and it’s become a weekly tradition for us that I hope continues throughout the years.
Below are the games that we love and play regularly and I’ll add the ones I’m tucking under the tree th ..read more

Since having kids, the holiday time has truly become such a significant time of the year. The first year with a baby is a celebration in itself and when it comes to what a baby truly needs, it’s really just love! Here are our trusted and true favourite items that can be put into a stocking or tucked under the tree for a special start for what will inevitably become a magical time of year for your family.
1. STACKING CUPS
Somewhere between 12-24 months, most babies enjoy knocking down cups. These pretty stacking cups are a firm favourite and I love that they double as bath toys! Easy to stack ..read more

A new tween room is coming! It’s been a long time since we last revealed a room and this one coming up next belongs to one of my favourite people ever; my daughter Kaia! So many of you have been curious how we’d address the girls’ rooms in our newest rental house, now that they’ve grown from their shared room in our last house.
With the move to Rental House #3, both girls have their very own rooms for the first time! The timing couldn’t have been better (they are 11 years old!) and although there are still sleepovers in each others’ rooms, there actually haven’t been as many as I thought there ..read more

We are just over a week until Easter 2022 and I wanted to share a super simple DIY that you could easily put together this weekend! With a few simple treats that you can buy from many stores, this little egg carton makeover will excite any little one on Easter morning.
Here’s how to make it.
Step 1: Cut an egg carton in half.
Step 2: If you want to add personalization or the little ‘Happy Easter’ message on the inside, simply make, cut out and glue on.
Step 3: Line each egg holder with left over raffia if you have it.
Step 4: Fill!
Here are some ideas of what to fill your Easter egg cartons ..read more
