I was born and raised in Orange County CA and relocated to Maryland last year for work . I’ve been exploring Maryland and Virginia on the weekends . Last week I was in great falls Virginia then checked out Alexandria Virginia . I’m deciding which state to permanently settle in ( my jobs in dc ). So far I’m liking Maryland more. What are the reasons you picked Virginia over Maryland ?

Virginia is one of the states where the members of our General Assembly are paid part time, and relatively little. Our Delegates get about $17k per year, and our senators $18k. Compare this to:
Delaware: ~$45k for legislators
Maryland: ~$47k
Pennsylvania: ~$106k
New York: ~$110k
North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and others also adopt our model with similar salaries.
I can see the benefits on both sides. On the one hand, public service should be for service and not profit. On the other, our model makes it so that only the already wealthy can serve. Even though it is part time, how many regu ..read more

As we well know, Maryland is actively preparing to invade Virginia and Delaware. Because of this, I propose we form an alliance with Delaware in order to execute a coordinated first strike on Maryland and forever secure Virginian roads from their awful driving.
Edit: if no option gets over 50% of the vote, I will eliminate the least voted option and hold a second vote
