April 12, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) On Monday morning at 2:03 am, Minneapolis Police were dispatched to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of East 28th Street and 14th Avenue South. Metro Transit Police arrived and located a motor vehicle crash at that intersection.  In checking the two cars, they noted that no one was in one of the cars and one person was obviously deceased inside the other car.  Checking further, it was apparent that the deceased individual had suffered a gunshot wound. March 25, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Shortly before midnight on Wednesday, March 24th, a 911 call came in reporting a shooting on the 1700 block of East Lake Street. Officers arrived and located an adult male, believed to be in his 40s lying outside the business suffering from a gunshot wound.  The victim had no pulse or respirations, so officers immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation and wound management.  Other officers cordoned off the scene and began looking for witnesses. March 24, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – MPD Officers ran the license plate of a vehicle that was parked at the Handy Stop, located at Monroe Street NE and Lowry Avenue NE, and it came back as a stolen vehicle out of Fridley. Officers located the driver of the stolen vehicle inside the store, and verified he was driver through security cameras inside of the store. The man was booked in Hennepin County Jail. March 18, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 6:45 am, 5 officers occupying three squads, were asked to assist Minneapolis Health Department and Community Planning and Economic Development Department in the area of 2nd and Humboldt, a block away from an encampment. March 17, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 9:40 am, Metro Transit Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Chicago Avenue South and East Franklin. Kiana Nicole Skinner is a 34-year-old light complexed black woman who is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds with black/dark brown hair usually worn in a bun and brown eyes.
