You may have noticed that ‘content marketing’ is on my list of services. Unless you’re a digital marketing expert, it’s probably not a term you hear every day. Or a concept you fully understand.
So, before I start rambling on about why your business should have a blog, I thought I should explain what content marketing is.
What is content marketing?
It’s the creation of videos, blogs and social media posts that stimulate interest in your products and services without explicitly promoting your brand. It’s being helpful without forcing a hard sell.
If you’re a chiropractor, this could be a blog p ..read more

Your guide to setting up a product photography studio on a budget…
One thing you may not know about me is that I started my digital marketing career as a travel blogger (don’t judge). I have always loved writing, so I travelled across the country reviewing its best food and wine experiences – aiming to transport readers to a particular time and place.
This style of photography is easy. It’s taken in situ, with very little equipment, so you can’t really go wrong. But when I started marketing consumer goods, I realised that product photography is a whole different ball game, with a new set of ru ..read more

The Great Ocean Road is one of the most famous coastal routes in the world. But I have barely seen half of it. Like many Victorians I often book overseas holidays instead of exploring my own backyard.
But last week I decided it was time to change that. So, I jumped online and planned a four day road-trip from Apollo Bay to Port Fairy.
Here’s what we got up to…
Day 1 – Melbourne to Apollo Bay
We had a slow start, leaving Melbourne after lunch. The first stop was Apollo Bay which is approximately three hours away from home. We took the scenic route through Torquay, Anglesea and Lorn ..read more

One
of my favourite childhood memories is going to Phillip Island to see the penguins.
I would sit on the sand for what felt like a lifetime, then watch the little
creatures pop their head out of the water and waddle their way up to shore. For
a kid that was pretty damn spectacular, and everything else kind of faded from
memory.
So this weekend I decided to head back to Phillip Island and explore the region as an adult. From wineries to wildlife cruises, there were plenty of amazing things to do. And I’ve decided to document some of my favourites so you can experience the magic for yourse ..read more

Walk through the arched
doorways of Flovie and into a whole new
world. One that’s full of warmth, colour and creativity.
You’ll be welcomed by the crisp scent of fresh flowers that Valerie picked from the market that morning. A rainbow of different colours and textures that give life to the Victorian style building. Then look a little further to see an arrangement of plush seats, an antique piano, and lopsided mirrors hanging on the wall.
It’s a whimsical combination of elements that some how work together to create a charming inner-city wonderland.

In 2004, my parents drove through Torquay on the way back from Lorne and fell in love with the place. So, they gave up on their dream of owning a caravan and bought a block of land overlooking Jan Juc beach. Eventually, that block of land became a house, and we’ve been driving up and down like yo-yos ever since.
We always have a puppy in tow, so I thought I’d share some of our favourite dog-friendly things to do along the coast. While beach restrictions were a nightmare at first, we’ve finally got our pup’s itinerary down pat (pun intended). So here are some of the best beaches, cafes and m ..read more

When I found out that you can zip-line through the Dandenong Ranges, I knew that I had to experience it for myself. So, I went online and booked a 2.5 hour session at Trees Adventure Glen Harrow Park.
The tree-top playground has nine unique courses, six vertical challenges, and 23 flying foxes that help you get back to nature while experiencing the Dandenong Ranges from above. Each of these courses is colour coded to match the difficulty of the task, with black being the hardest.
When you arrive at the park, you are given a locker, where you can store all your personal belongings. Then y ..read more

They say shit happens. And it sure did when we got a call from our real estate agent to say that our investment property’s bathroom flooded. And we had to travel an hour and a half away from Melbourne to assess the damage. All of our weekend plans went down the drain, so we decided to make the most of a shitty situation by exploring some of Ballarat’s hidden gems.
Here are 5 things you can do in Ballarat without breaking the bank.
Lake Wendouree
Located in the centre of Ballarat, Lake Wendouree is surrounded by beautiful parks, barbeques and botanical gardens, making it the perfect s ..read more

Who knew that food and wine paradise was only a 20 minute drive from the CBD?
Arundel Farm Estate is a boutique winery located in the Sunbury Wine Region, just 16km from Melbourne, and a stone’s throw away from Tullamarine Airport. It’s close to everything, yet in the middle of nowhere, tucked away in the rolling hills of Keilor.
The bluestone stables bring rural Italy to Melbourne’s backyard, complete with delicious grazing boards, woodfire pizza ovens and crusty stone-baked bread.
Sitting on over 300 acres, it has 11 spacious paddocks for thoroughbred horses to roam, and a 20 acre ..read more
