Microsoft has updated the Teams Store validation guidelines for anyone wishing to publish their apps to the Microsoft Teams App Store. The validation guidelines help developers understand why their app might be rejected, and what they can do about it. About a million years ago (OK, 13 months ago) I blogged suggesting that I thought that soon meeting participants would be able to change their display name. This was because of a new property I had spotted in Microsoft Graph for a meeting object to signify whether this was possible in the meeting. That went in, but then the Microsoft Teams client didn’t immediately evolve to take advantage of it. I wanted to put together a guide for people starting out building their first plugin for Copilot. I didn’t want people to feel like they HAD to be seasoned developers to be able to build something.
