Firmware version 5.1.0 for the color Q2 and the black and white Q2 Monochrom share the same feature additions and improvements. Today, Leica has released a firmware update for the M11 family of digital rangefinder cameras. The v2.0.2 update includes an option to toggle the behavior of the shutter during lens changes, along with a bunch of bug fixes. Prior to v2.0.1, the shutter remained open when a lens was removed from the camera, but in the last update, the shutter closed automatically to protect the sensor. Leica has announced new three camera options for its CCD Sensor Corrosion Upgrade Program. As we previously reported, corroded CCD sensors can no longer be replaced since the sensors are out of production, but M9-generation owners can still take advantage of special pricing to upgrade to a model in the current lineup. Featuring the same excellent optical formula as the current 28mm Summicron, with 9 elements arranged in 6 groups, the new lens offers a couple notable updates.
