Been doing a lot of thinking lately about my next purchase and finally ready to dive into Leica. I have my bases covered with other cameras (Z8 wildlife/landscape/X100 for snapshots and documenting life). Been looking for something slower, simpler etc for personal project and finally settled on digital Leica. Reminds me enough of film without developing etc, love manual focus feeling and want to try RF.
I feel that the M240 would be more than enough for me - no need for anything newer. I don't often shoot live view, but sometimes use it on my X100. Wondering if I will practically miss it with ..read more

I have been wanting to pull the trigger on my first M body for a while and have been considering these 2 models, I've decided the M240 seems like better value for money for my amateur needs. I have had the chance to try the 240 against an m11 at the store and the experience seemed largely the same, however now i am reading up that the m10 viewfinder is supposedly 30% larger than the one on the m10. I’ve had my Ultron for about 4 months or so. I’ve really been enjoying it, and it’s been giving me some really nice and sharp results. However, the .5m focusing distance and uneven smoothness of the focusing tab have been giving me some issue. By uneven smoothness, I mean the tab will start to move faster when it’s at either end of its rotation.

Topic, id love to insure it in case of theft, etc. Won't have renters insurance anymore since I dont need it. What are my options?

its a summicron R 50mm. has the tiniest spot of fungus growing.. will it get worse over time?
the other circle is a piece of dust. that doesnt bother me as much, but if i get it cleaned might as well get a good cleaning.
worth it? or leave it alone?
