The Edmonton Oilers are just one win away from an appearance in the second round for the third consecutive season, as they defeated the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 1-0 in Game 4 on Sunday.
The lone goal of the game came on Edmonton’s lone power play, as there was some good puck movement to set up an Evan Bouchard shot, beating Dave Rittich for the 1-0 lead midway through the second.

Corey Perry reached a major milestone in his career when he took to the ice for Game 4 of the first-round series against the Kings.
It marked the 200th playoff game of his illustrious career, making him only the 24th player in league history to reach this exclusive club. He is also the only active player in the league to be part of this group as the two most recent members Zdeno Chara and Marian Hossa have long retired.

There’s a new Iginla on centre stage representing Canada as former NHL star Jarome Iginla’s son Tij is carrying on the family legacy and is following in his father’s footsteps.
When the elder Iginla dawned the red and white for U-18 Team Canada in 1994-95, he recorded 13 points in five games, a total that led all players. A year later, he led the 1996 World Juniors to gold and later won an Olympic gold medal in 2002 and 2010.
His daughter, Jade, continued the legacy, winning gold at her only national team appearance in the 2022 U-18 World Championship.
Now, 17-year-old Tij is on track to have ..read more

The Edmonton Oilers regained the series lead on Friday night with a 6-1 road win over the Los Angeles Kings. Once Zach Hyman scored the opening goal, the Oilers never looked back, with Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid, and Evander Kane all snapping home goals.
Stuart Skinner played excellent, too. After a disappointing Game 2 performance, the Oilers starter stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced for a 0.964 save percentage. Edmonton Oilers did a great job of limiting high-danger chances and blocking shots endlessly throughout the contest.
Game 4 goes tonight in Los Angeles, and the Oile ..read more

We’re in Los Angeles for games 3 and 4 of the playoffs, and that meant the opportunity for a hotel room edition of the Real Life podcast.
Starting off the podcast, the guys shared a lively recap of their shared experiences in Los Angeles over the last couple of days. From the way the quartet set up their room to the constant eating that Liam has been doing, the first few days of the trip have been filled with good vibes and great times.
From there, we walked through our obvious lack of knowledge about the Los Angeles area, as Tyler learned for the first time that the greater LA area is compris ..read more

It was an off-day for the hockey club, which meant we had the opportunity to explore Los Angeles a little bit and recharge before tonight’s Game 4 matchup at Crypto.com Arena.
After waking up, finishing off a few work items, and fuelling the temple with a hearty breakfast, we wandered around the hotel for a little bit to grab some snacks and explore the area. What I didn’t expect, however, was that Tyler would drop a line that had the rest of us crying with laughter. This Kobe Bryant mural above is close to our hotel, and my man Tyler expressed that he didn’t think it looked like him at all ..read more

There are four of us from Nation HQ amongst a legion of blue and orange down here in Los Angeles for Game 4 of the first-round series between the Oilers and Kings, and we’re all looking for a big win to put the boys up 3-1 in the series.
Be sure to check out the latest NHL playoff odds with online sportsbook Betway.
As for being annoying to play against/watch/report on, the Los Angeles Kings are everything we expected them to be and then some. They come as advertised. They’re boring, they’re opportunistic, and they’ll stick ya somewhere awful if given the chance. This series has ..read more

Shaquille O’Neal has gone by many names: Diesel, Kazaam, and most commonly just Shaq. But to the crew over at NHL on TNT, the retired NBA superstar is known by a different moniker: “Shaq Hyman.”
The 7’1″ former NBA center, who now plies his trade as an intermission analyst on NBA on TNT broadcasts, dropped by the network’s NHL studio on Saturday afternoon to show off his enviable net-front abilities.
As all Oilers fans know, Zach Hyman scores the majority of his goals from within a few feet of the opponent’s net. He is extremely proficient at screening opposing goaltenders and s ..read more
