A day out from the NFL Draft, let’s check in on where Drake is projected to be headed.
As of right now, we are a little more than one day out from the start of the 2024 NFL Draft. Over the next couple days, hundreds of college football players will hear their names called as they live out their football dreams on the professional level. That number will in all likelihood contain a couple of North Carolina Tar Heels, with quarterback Drake Maye expected to be selected early in the first round.

The Tar Heels’ best player will be back in 2024.
RJ Davis is reportedly coming back to UNC for a fifth season in 2024, according to reports. The Tar Heel guard has a Covid year that allows him to use an additional year of eligibility, and it sounds like Davis has chosen to do just that.
Matt Norlander of CBS reported Tuesday afternoon that Carolina would be getting additional good news after Seth Trimble made the decision to withdraw his name from the transfer portal and return to Chapel Hill. A source reportedly told Norlander that an announcement from RJ would be c ..read more

One of the Heels’ best defenders has decided to run it back after all.
Today it was announced that Seth Trimble will be returning to North. Carolina after entering his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal. The announcement comes just days after the Wisconsin native entered the portal in hopes of finding a new landing spot.
Rumblings about Trimble potentially returning to campus surfaced last Friday on Twitter. One source said the announcement was “expected soon,” but because nobody is really verified anymore on the platform it was unclear as to wh ..read more

From The Bosh to The Show.
There are currently seven Diamond Heels on MLB rosters having varying levels of success. Six of those seven are pitchers and two are on the Colorado Rockies. Let’s do a quick check-in.
Michael Busch - Chicago Cubs
After just one season with the Dodgers, first baseman Michael Busch is off to an impressive start in Chicago with the 12-7 Cubs. Under-utilized in LA, Busch is batting .317 and has six homers this season, including one stretch in which he hit five dingers in five games.

Success in the NFL starts with where you go, here's where you should and shouldn’t want Drake Maye to be drafted.
After nearly two years of hype, Drake Maye is about to find out which team he will call home for the next few seasons. With all of the deep dives that have been made about Maye and his ability to play in the pros, there’s been one thing that has been missing in the discussion — that his success will very much depend on the team that takes him.
Would Patrick Mahomes had turned out as well as he did if he didn’t have Alex Smith to study behind for a ..read more

Good news is coming.
After the announcement of Harrison Ingram’s departure to the NBA Draft on Saturday afternoon, North Carolina’s questions become much larger regarding the potential 2024-25 roster. The Tar Heels have already received news of intended departures from Seth Trimble, James Okonkwo, and now Harrison Ingram, all while awaiting a decision from RJ Davis about his future. These changes weren’t necessarily unprompted or unforeseen, especially with the current landscape of college sports. Still, as time ticks on and on, uncertainty begins to wear on us ..read more

The expected decision for a beloved transfer
Close to a month after UNC’s season ended in heartbreaking fashion, Tar Heel forward Harrison Ingram announced this morning his intention to enter the NBA Draft. In Ingram’s one year in Chapel Hill after he’d spent the first two years of his college career at Stanford, he had a career season, averaging 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. As much as for his stat-stuffing, though, he’ll be remembered for how quickly he endeared himself to the program and fanbase with his engaging perso ..read more

Not quite a leap, but the pollen says it’s spring.
The Spring Game, much like Gil Scott-Heron’s revolution, will not be televised.
The Tar Heels and Coach Brown traded ACC Network access to an open practice earlier this week for the opportunity to keep this season’s spring game under wraps, keenly identifying a valuable opportunity to gain an edge going into a big-time season opener against the mighty Golden Gophers of Minnesota, hot as they are off of a rousing 6-7 campaign last year.
The reasoning given for this swap was a desire to keep defensive scheme changes s ..read more

Let’s see how far we’ve come.
My, how times have changed. Hard to believe but 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the theatrical release of the movie Blue Chips.
The highly-anticipated film came from director William Friedkin, best known for, of all things, The Exorcist (?!) and screenwriter Ron Shelton whose sports flick credits include Bull Durham, White Men Can’t Jump, and Tin Cup.
Blue Chips features Nick Nolte as a very Bobby Knight-esque college basketball coach known for antics like drop-kicking a basketball into the stands during a game and slinging a wat ..read more
