STATE OF EMERGENCY: OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The government of the Czech Republic declared the state of emergency in its entire territory for 30 days with effect from 12th March 2020 from 2 pm. When declaring a state of emergency certain rights and freedoms may be restricted. With effect from 14th March 2020, the government resolution orders:
no entry for all foreigners coming from risk areas except for foreigners staying temporarily over 90 days or persons with permanent residence in the Czech Republic; this does not apply if the entry of these foreigners is in the interest of the Czech Republic ..read more

All exhibitions and indoor tourist routes at Prague Castle have been closed over the new coronavirus outbreak but the castle complex remains accessible to tourists, its administration spokesman David Sebek told CTK today.
The Prague Castle Administration (SPH) has toughened the measures it took in reaction to the National Security Council’s (BRS) steps on Tuesday.
The regular noon ceremony of the rotation of Prague Castle guards has been canceled.

The Czech National Heritage Institute (NPU) closed all state-run castles, chateaux and other heritage sites with all-year operation as of today and postponed the start of the main season indefinitely over new coronavirus, its spokeswoman Jana Hartmanova told CTK today.
The NPU runs about 100 heritage sites that welcomed a total of 5,273 million visitors last year. The sites with all-year operations include popular castles and chateaus such as Karlstejn near Prague and Hluboka nad Vltavou, South Bohemia.
In 2018, the NPU’s proceeds from the heritage sites reached 620 million crowns.
