Hello friendly Czechs, In 2023 I was in Prague for a week on a business trip and loved it there. I binge-watched the Honest Guide , which I enjoyed even before the trip was planned, and was able to really get the most of my stay. Now I'm considering moving to Prague for 2+ years. Even though I'm an EU-citizen and am very lucky financially (monthly net income of roughly 200K CZK), I'm a bit worried about the bureaucratic aspect of it. I know that I will need a trade license in the Czech Republic but I wouldn't even know where to start. I thought about using pexpats.com but I'm not sure if that ..read more

Hi guys I’m planning to go on vacation with my brother in August. to save a little money we’r planning to fly from Prague International Airport. We will drive to Prague by car then we will go by plane. So I want to ask you guys where can I park my car for low cost? It doesn’t have to be near the airport. We can take an Uber to the airport. Thanks for responding! submitted by /u/Agreeable_Flan_7243 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

TLDR: 2 indian brothers planning trip to Prague need help with a few things. Basically, as the title says. My brother is a student at VU in Amsterdam and this summer him and i are planning to go on a trip which starts with a 4 night stay at Prague. It’d be super helpful if someone can help me with the following questions: 1) Are 5 days enough to get a true feel of the city and it’s culture? 2) is it possible to take day trips to any other cities nearby? 3) some local gems that we should definitely not miss 4) how’s the clubbing and nightlife scene in Prague? Also, about how much money should ..read more

Car mechanic recommendations

Hi all. I would like to ask for suggestions for trustworthy csr shops in prg that speak English. My friend used to help me out in his shop, but he stopped working in the field. I currently need to change steering rack / control arm bushings for my Mazda 6. And while at that, I was also thinking to replace the shocks. I'm looking for a long term relationship, as I do regular maintainance on my car, and all my immigrant (expats if you will) friends have also been using my friend's service which has now stopped, so I may recommend the shop to about 5 other customers. Many thanks! submitted by ..read more

Is it feasible to have a 2.5-hour layover at Breclav train station during the night? And how safe is it?

I'm planning to take a night train from Prague, Czechia to Salzburg, Austria, and there is only one connected train with a 2.5-hour layover at Breclav station from 1.30am - 4.00 am. Since the distance from Prague to Salzburg is pretty far, taking a night train maybe a best option to save money and time as well IMO. My questions are: Has anyone layovered at Breclav train station during the night before? Is there any place that we can rest safely (guest area, cafeteria, etc.). I tried to google the interior of Breclav train station but it seems like there are only pictures of rail roads and a ..read more
