I decided to go to a prepaid plan to save money. I transferred in my number paid for 1yr upfront and they sent me a SIM card. When inserted I got no service if I call the activation number or try online it says it’s already active. Their troubleshooting is a number you can call but no real representative. And pretty much tells me they can’t find my account please manage online at att.com/myprepaid. Getting offered a deal to switch to AT&T at Target (from T-Mobile). The Port-In Credit is $7 for 36 months, so that sounds like the same as the 'standard' $250 Port-In Credit per line. The Plan being switched to is AT&T Unlimited Extra EL and they are offering it at a Monthly Cost of $26.99. On AT&T's own website, I configured it for 5 lines and it comes out to $35.99/month. I've been having issues with my phones connectivity on and off. When the issue is active - my phone won't connect to 5g, it won't make phone calls, can't turn on mobile Hotspot, can't even download any pictures texted to me. I've tried various solutions via the ATT app and website, various refreshing/turning my phone off/on...nothing works. The only time my phone even works when this flares up is if I'm on wifi. I’m not super well versed in all this so please ELI5. I just bought a new router for my AT&T Fiber internet. I connected it to the AT&T Gateway via the Ethernet cable. Created a password and all that for the new WiFi network. I just watched a YT video on putting the AT&T gateway in pass through mode to eliminate double NAT. I followed the instructions I believe successfully, using my laptop to type in the IP address and set it that way. I’m now connected on my phone and laptop to the new network and no issues. Ordered AT&T Fiber. Appointment for installation between 8-10am. Every day for a week I get twice-daily texts confirming the appointment from 8-10am. At the appointed day, at around 9:30, an AT&T employee shows up.
