Today is the 1st of June and here in Australia it is the first day of winter. I thought it was a great day to create a winter themed card using the Season of Chic stamp set and Chic Dies. I love a good, messy technique. Well this one today is actually not as messy as some I guess. Have you seen the faux patina technique before? It is usually done with an embossing folder, inks and embossing powders, but I have changed it up and used Metallic Enamel Effects instead of embossing powder and it turned out great. Looking through some old cards this week, I was inspired by a card I made for my husband 17 years ago. Back in those days, most of the cards we made were much more simple in design, so I thought I would have a go at re-creating the layout with a bit of an updated look. I ended up creating two cards using the Zoo Crew Suite Collection. How adorable is the Zoo Crew Suite Collection!!! If you haven't seen it yet, you can check it out in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue. I love that the Designer Series Paper has 6 themes on each of the different pages. It's so much fun. Some of the images can be cut with the coordinating Zany Zoo Dies, while others can be easily fussy cut with scissors.
