Back back back… gone!! Shohei Ohtani and your Los Angeles Dodgers are off to yet another hot start as usual as they hold the most wins in the National League and the 2nd best record in baseball behind the New York Yankees. Seeing Shohei in a Dodgers uniform has been something special so far to watch. His presence in the lineup is second to none and only provided added value to an already stacked offensive lineup as we embark on another Dodgers regular season, we look forward to seeing how this team meshes against the entire playing field. Our friends at FOCO are giving you more opportunities t ..read more

Dodgers Cash Checks, Beat Cards on Opening Day

Checkbook baseball. That’s what Cardinal’s opening day starter Miles Mikolas accused the Dodgers of doing. I’m not sure what that means exactly, but Mikolas went onto insinuate that the hollywood Dodgers were throwing money around and the little midwestern farmer Cardinals would try their best to plow the fields, hoe the till, and give the Dodgers headaches. Fortunately Mikolas and those podunk agriculturists couldn’t grow a couple of more hits as those glitzy glamorous Dodgers put on a show en route to a 7-1 win on opening day. Before the game, the Dodgers opened that big checkbook and announ ..read more

Dodger Bats Show Up Late To Win Seoul Series Opener
Ladodgerreport
by Scott Andes

The jet-lagged Dodger bats showed up late to South Korea as the Dodgers had to rally from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Padres in the Seoul series opener on Wednesday morning. Technically morning for us in the states. The boys in blue scored four unanswered runs in the top of the eighth inning en route to a 5-2 win. The Padres did not play fundamentally sound baseball. They had several pitch clock violations, issued eight walks, made two sloppy defensive plays and used seven relievers. Shohei Othani’s official Dodger’s debut was a success, as the Japanese two-way star notched two hits, and a sto ..read more

It’s that time of year again folks.  Opening day is right around the corner but for our Los Angeles Dodgers, tomorrow morning is where our 2024 journey begins.  The MLB is headed overseas once again, as we all know, but this time, Major League Baseball is doing things a little bit differently.  Our beloved Los Angeles Dodgers are kicking off the 2024 MLB season in Seoul, Korea as they take on their cross-state rivals, the San Diego Padres, in a 2-game exhibition series at the famous Gyeongbokgung Palace that counts towards the regular season standings.  If you are looking f ..read more

The Massive Hype of Miguel Vargas
Ladodgerreport

This past winter the Dodgers announced that Mookie Betts would be moving to second base permanently. This was an important announcement because it unceremoniously ended Miguel Vargas’s Dodger career. Before you ask, yes Vargas is still a Dodger and still on the 40-man roster. But let’s read between the lines. Vargas was given a shot in 2023, and was unable to adjust to major league pitching. The Dodgers are going back with the veterans this season. Let’s take a look at a few of the events that led to this. The Dodgers signed Vargas as a free agent in 2017. He started to get noticed by the scou ..read more

NLDS Game 3: Lifeless Dodgers Swept by Dbacks

The Dodgers won 100 games again this season. Fans boasted. Dave Roberts felt confident. Fans once again drank the swill. This year would be different. This season feels different they said. This team fights, this team has heart. They destroyed the Dbacks in the regular season (they didn’t actually, an 8-5 record is not destroying). so why wouldn’t they in the playoffs, right?! Analysts marveled at the Dodger’s talent and imposing lineup. They scored over 900 runs! Yet the Dodgers came into the postseason with no starting rotation, a weak bench, and one of the worst pitching staffs we’ve seen i ..read more

NLDS Game 2: 100 Wins But More Playoff Suck

If winning 100 games in the regular season and looking like jack asses in the playoffs is exciting for you, then these Dodgers are perfect. It’s not for me, and I’m not excited for this brand of terrible baseball. As predicted by me, and many of you, the Dodgers lost again, falling 4-2 to the Dbacks and are now down 2-0 in the best of five NLDS. They’ll travel to Arizona for game 3 where they’ll be easily swept. As I’ve said back in April, the Dodger’s starting pitching is pathetic, and Bobby Miller continued their season long woes with another horrible start. The rookie lasted just 1.2 before ..read more

Dodgers Open NLDS Against Dbacks
Ladodgerreport

We’ve made it. The Dodgers open their National League Division Series on Saturday night against the Arizona Dbacks at Dodger Stadium. The Dbacks finished with just 84 regular season wins, but snuck in as a fifth seeded wild card. They swept the Brewers to advance to the NLDS. The Dodgers on the other hand won the National League west for the tenth time in their last eleven seasons. They finished with a 100-62 record and did not play a meaningful game in September. The Dodgers have one of the best lineups in baseball. Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman put up MVP caliber seasons. Will Smith despi ..read more
