This fateful night of 10 years ago will play a major role in the life of Max Yagumo (real name Rintaro Yagumo), up and coming movie director recently the winner of an Asian film contest. Max and other two directors have been invited to revive a movie project interrupted exactly 10 years ago due to tragic events. It’s up to Max and his assistant Aine Magari to solve the mystery behind this project, discover what happened 10 years ago and put an end to the curse that keeps taking lives to this day. Baobabs Mausoleum Grindhouse Edition – NS REVIEW

Sometimes game genres can get a bit stale: repetitive gameplays, reused ideas, etc. We have our adventure games, our stealth games, our platformers, our horror games… And then we have Baobabs Mausoleum. If I had to describe the game to someone in very little words I’d probably say: “Imagine a crossover between Wario Ware and Zelda, but Horror and on acid. I am not being dramatic: Baobabs Mausoleum is the most ridiculous, surreal, discombobulated mix of game styles I’ve ever seen. Period. But guess what? For the most, it pays off.  Yep, This is Watracio Walpurgis. Why, what did ..read more

Fault – milestone two side: above Switch Review

You don’t have to guess twice to realise that fault – milestone two side: above hails from the land of the used panty vending machine from the title alone. So let’s start by breaking down the title. This is the sequel to the widely successful doujin (hobbyist) game fault – milestone one; a “kinetic” novel where a princess and her bodyguard (both stunningly beautiful but gritty and cool anime girls) accidentally teleport to the other side of the world when their country is invaded and have an epic journey home. It’s easily the best visual novel I’ve read with no choices allowed. Scratch that, t ..read more

Commandos 2 HD Remaster Switch Review – Stealth RTS WWII Classic Reinvigorated

Commandos 2 is a squad based stealth real time strategy war game that was originally released in 2001 and is a game remembered fondly even today by fans. Fight against the Germans and Japanese in some famous real and film World War II battles using a squad of up to 4 elite commandos out of 9 playable characters.  Anyone order extra crispy? Over the course of 2 training missions, 10 missions and some bonus missions you turn the tide of World War 2 and damn does it start off frustrating. The controls which do actually translate very well to console feel convoluted and unintuitive. However t ..read more

Robotics;Notes DaSH Switch Review – Starring Daru

Rejoin the Robot Club as they go on one hell of an acid trip. Robotics;Notes DaSH is the extraordinarily entertaining visual novel sequel to Robotics;Notes Elite (check out our review of that here) brought to us by developers of Steins;Gate 5pb. and Spike Chunsoft. However you really must play Elite to enjoy DaSH to its fullest (I’ve tried to keep this as spoiler free as humanly possible for those who haven’t played Elite). Once again DaSH is set in same worldline as the true end to Steins;Gate, 10 years into the future. IROU is back but you barely use it. You start by traveling to Tanegashima ..read more

Everyone loves monster trucks, they are some of the most extreme vehicles known to man with such crazy torque they can do backflips. Monster Truck Championship is a monster truck simulator complete with racing and stunts, developed by Teyon and published by Nacon who brought the amazing WRC and TT Isle of Man games to Nintendo Switch. The monster trucks are an absolute handful bouncing around all over the place with both front and rear axle steering that creates an entirely unique racing experience. It’s slow paced and precise yet extremely hard to control your huge beast through all the jumps ..read more

Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. Review
Nintendo Scene | News, Reviews, Switch, 3ds, Wii U

Two classic Nintendo products combine for the latest contribution to the mascot’s 35th anniversary. Game & Watch was the original catalyst for the handheld video game market, its devices becoming markedly popular throughout the 80’s (Game & Watch itself is celebrating its 40th anniversary). As cartridges became the norm rather than a single game per system, the hardware gave way to the Game Boy and all of its successors. The device has been revived for a lovely limited-edition console, which offers Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2 – known better in the west as The Lost Levels – a ..read more

Do you want to build a robot? Off the back of perhaps the greatest visual novel ever Steins;Gate, 5pb made the 3rd in the Science Adventure series: Robotics;Notes. Unfortunately much like the one that started it all; Chaos;Head, it never saw the light of day in the West. Never fear for Spike Chunsoft is here serving up a double dose of Robotics;Notes goodness with both Elite (a slightly enhanced version of the original) and DaSH (a brand new adventure that we will be reviewing shortly). I bet millions of guys wish AR apps could put everyone in cat maid outfits. So here we are finally able to e ..read more

Fellow Tropicans soon the time will come for all to be liberated from the oppressive constraints of the home whilst playing Tropico 6 as for the first time Tropico is coming to a Nintendo console, on 6th of November for £44.99 or £40.49 if you pre-order. Okay yes you can already get Tropico on mobile but that’s based off of Tropico 3 which is a great game but has nothing on the archipelagos and monument stealing of Tropico 6. Tropico 6 has a whole host of new features that can be seen below that make it a worthy return to excellence and the Nintendo Switch version has an exclusive presidentia ..read more
