I went into my local authorized Verizon retailer and picked up a home Internet kit a while ago. When I first joined Verizon a week ago I wasn’t getting 5G in my apartment. Now my phone is picking up 5G today and I pick it up in the same room that my Internet kit is in. Well when I go to the control panel, I see it’s still connected to 4G. I recently had to upgrade my phone as the old one finally became an issue with slowing down and freezing. I went to a Verizon store in-person because I needed a new device sooner rather than later. I was notified that I had a priority upgrade on my device and ended up selecting a deal that I was told meant "I would only pay taxes on the device and any other accessories for it that I picked up that day". I have been trying to transfer over a phone number from ATT for over a week and each time I call they say that they fixed it, or that "it shows it's working in their system", and it hasn't worked everytime I called. I actually paid for two lines and I didn't even get to activate the second line because I need at least one phone to be able to call. I asked for a refund twice, and both times they tell me that they sent me an email to verify, but I quite literally am not receiving any emails from them. Last time I traveled abroad, it was anything but smooth. It took almost 48 hours for verizon to switch to my travel pass days. This meant navigating abroad with no internet or phone. It was only a big deal when I needed my GPS, but it was still an experience that can be improved. Is there a way to make sure that the transition is better? I had an iPhone 12 paid off, and was on the older plan that included Disney plus. I was paying 82.00 a month. Verizon offered the promo to “add a new line” and get up $830.00 credit, which is why I behooved my wife to get on my plan, as her older phone plan was “no sim available”. I enrolled in Digital Secure and have been using it for a few weeks. I'm wondering if it's really worth it? I don't know if the VPN is actually doing anything (is there a way for me to check) And as far as antivirus and all that there are a lot of free options that might do the same thing.
