The Rangers and Hurricanes, now two-years removed from their epic second-round series that the Blueshirts ultimately won in seven-games, will rematch once again in 2024. And this time around – and if you can believe it – there’s even more at stake for both of these Metropolitan Division powerhouses – and I’m not talking about the friendship that Jacob Trouba once had with Brady Skjei either!
Greetings and salutations everyone and welcome to another blog here on BlueCollarBlueShirts.com. Bring on the second-round – and yep – bring on the Carolina Hurricanes too!
As if it were fate, the Blueshir ..read more

While of course, every resident of Rangerstown, USA should be celebrating in the streets following the BEST IN THE WORLD BLUESHIRTS’ 4-2 Game 4 victory from Sunday night in D.C. – but what shouldn’t be forgotten is that for “Lavy’s Lot” – this is what they were supposed to do – and the mission at hand is only twenty-five percent complete. That said, what a time to be alive! And how about Vincent Trocheck, who in my opinion, was the series MVP. Not only did he lead all skaters in goals (3) and points (6), but he also leaves the first-round as the best center at the circles of these 2024 Stanley ..read more

Following Friday night’s 3-1 Game 3 victory, our beloved Blueshirts are now one win away from sweeping their first-round series against the Washington Capitals. Should “Lavy’s Lot” complete the sweep on Sunday night in the “do-or-die” Game 4 for the D.C. club, then it will be the first Rangers’ playoff sweep in seventeen years, having last swept the Atlanta Thrashers back in 2007. What a time to be alive!
Greetings and salutations everyone and welcome to another blog here on BlueCollarBlueShirts.com. Three down, thirteen to go.

While the 7’3″ on skates Matt Rempe (hence his jersey number of 73) was the most active hitter (7 hits in 7:34) on Tuesday night during the Rangers’ 4-3 Game 2 victory, it was our “TRIBAL BREADMAN,” good old Artie Panarin, whose one hit on T.J. Oshie that defined this team’s testament and willingness when trying to finish their story – which is by winning the fifth Stanley Cup in franchise history. In a game that had it all, including some of the worst officiating that you’ll ever see, the Blueshirts prevailed – and as a result – are now up two games to nil in their best-of-seven first-round s ..read more

While of course, the BEST IN THE WORLD BLUESHIRTS’ 4-1 Game One victory over the Washington Capitals was huge for every resident of Rangerstown, USA – but it was even sweeter for people of my ilk, including “THE KING OF COMMENTARY,” Henrik Lundqvist too – the EYE TEST folk! On Sunday afternoon, it was the Rangers’ fourth line, the trio consisting of Jimmy Vesey (first star, 1G and 1A), Barclay Goodrow (second star, 2A) and Matt Rempe (third star, 1G, +2), that propelled the Rangers over their feeble foes.

Following the Rangers clinching the Presidents’ Trophy on Monday night at M$G, thus securing home ice for the four hopeful rounds that they will play during the next six-weeks; a day later, Tuesday night, the fates of four other franchises were finally determined too. When the dust settled and when the smoke was all cleared, it were the Washington Capitals who prevailed – which as a result – meant that the golfing season had come early for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. In turn, the BEST IN THE WORLD BLUESHIRTS, who finished the 2023-24 season with ..read more

On Monday night at M$G, the Rangers closed the regular season in the most epic way imaginable (or at least for this site and its readership) – by shutting out the Senators by a final score of 4-0! And no – and sadly – I didn’t place a pregame wager on such a result – but who cares about potential earnings lost – all that matters is the win – and the fact that following such a victory – the Rangers officially stamped their status as “BEST IN THE WORLD” and are now the reigning-and-defending Presidents’ Trophy champions! (Holy Dashes and Morse Code Batman!) But of course, “Lavy’s Lot” aren’t con ..read more

Surprise, surprise! On Saturday afternoon at M$G (4/13), it was once again Artemi Panarin, this year’s 2024 Frank Boucher Trophy winner (and soon to be officially named as the team’s MVP too), that led the way in the Rangers’ 3-2 shootout win over the greasy Islanders. Behind his late equalizer in the third period, his 48th goal of the season (118th point too), “The Breadman” opened up extra innings with another shootout goal. As a result of the pivotal victory, two more franchise-best records were set – the team’s 28th comeback victory of the season and the team’s 54th win too. With one more ..read more
