I have recently bought a large box of old photographic postcards on eBay and when they arrived I looked through to see if any possibly had any names or other clues on the reverse to help identify and research then further, in the hope of eventually reuniting them with their original families. One lovely photograph that caught my eye, as below, was of a young girl taken at a photographic studio in Chorlton in Lancashire and on turning it over someone had written the name Marjorie Cecilia WALMSLEY – what a great start! Some quick research showed that Marjorie Cecilia WALMSLEY was born on the ..read more
