Took 1 year off from Hosting, but THIS happens when I return [IND]

Hello. It's been over 11 Months that I returned to Host on airbnb, after a 1 year break post having gotten super host, and over 4.9 Ratings & over 20 reviews. LINK to my views compared to other listings -> https://ibb.co/42Hq179 But THIS is how Airbnb treats its hosts coming back to host on their platform? Is this PURE spite, or just terrible back-end rules and management? And I can't even find a way to contact airbnb support. I'm feeling absolutely shafted, where by no fault of my own, i'm getting 100 times LESS views than hosts in my valley. Has Anyone encountered this issue? My aver ..read more

First time at a guesthouse. Crush on host [USA]

I typically stay at “entire rental units” so I don’t have to interact with a host. But this time I booked on short notice and had no choice but to stay at a guesthouse where the host lived in the house next to it. He looked good on his profile pic and I assumed it was a couple hosting. But I got there and he’s by himself/living with a roommate and I met him the first morning and he’s hot (and friendly)!! I had a mild obsession since and huge crush. I was kind of hoping I would run into him again during my stay but it didn’t happen. He was doing work around the property and seemed pretty busy ..read more

Hello redditors, I come to you in need of advice! I have in the past couple of months rented a Airbnb location for an event. While scanning the listing everything seemed alright, the reviews were good, some problems here and there but nothing too crazy. Now, one month before the event I get a hunch to check my listing again and decide to check the host's profile. Here comes my surprise when I see the past 25ish reviews on her profile, all from the past 3-4 months of people saying she constantly cancels the day of arrival and either offers a worse option (smaller, not enough sleeping beds) or ..read more

Does AirBnB [USA] care if a rental property is located within an HOA that doesn’t allow leases for less than six months? An HOA that we’re considering buying a home in hasn’t enforced this (yet), but I’m curious if AirBnB asks questions about HOAs and leases in their application process? Wondering if more homes in this neighborhood could become short term rentals if AirBnB doesn’t concern itself with HOAs. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/rojo-perro [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So I have never used AirBnB and I have never stayed in one either. I'm considering booking one for a beach trip with my friends. Are there any tips I need to consider before doing so? [USA]

Host walked into AirBNB without notice, committed multiple violations, cops almost called [CAN]

I booked this entire home AirBNB for my birthday party for 10 people for $900/night. The place had absolutely no furniture. Only beds and a kitchen. I knew that AirBNB had strict policies on parties, but I booked this one because in the description of the listing it said "You can use this place for parties, gatherings, filming shootings etc." That was the only sentence in the description. Also under house rules it did not say "No parties or events". I also confirmed with the host and messaged him asking if I could use his place for my birthday party. I noticed the house is a duplex and I aske ..read more
