Im a full time pizza delivery driver because my construction job laid me off and I needed the money so I had to start doing full time pizza delivery asap. Well yeah, this is just a rant that if you own one of these damn cars, don’t stiff the pizza guy. The only no tip I got today was the guy with an s8 parked outside the garage. I know how it works, but if you’re going to drink alcohol and decide not to pick it up, tip your driver. I hope you’re in here somewhere you s8 owner! On the hill! To be honest, the only real reason I spent the time to post this is that is a sexy ass car. Goddamn. Oth ..read more

HPFP - procedure to check the metering/solenoid valve for metal flakes ?

2.0 TDI engine, the HPFP has a constant ticking noise when in use (has been the case since I own the car for one year and half and over 30.000km now) which is a common issue and can be an indication of early failure, or not apparently if I believe the many people stating they have the same without symptoms. I want to open the metering/solenoid valve to check if there are metal flakes/particles but I’m unsure of the procedure, do I need to bleed and depressurize the fuel line first and prime the pump again after ? I’ve read of people having no start after messing with this valve. Note tha ..read more

Did the fact that your Audi was built in Mexico or Germany have ANY impact on your purchase decision?

I have personally owned multiple Audis since 2009 and coincidentally, most of my trouble Audis were built in Mexico (2017 or newer models with VIN from Mexico). I work in Manufacturing Engineering myself and there is a huge work culture difference between German/Japanese and Mexican assembly line workers. The culture of quality is taken personally in Germany/Japan whereas in Mexico, the focus is on volume. My question is this: do these facts have ANY impact on your purchase decision? Thank you! submitted by /u/DiversifyMN [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Heard back from the dealer today, my RS3 needs a new fuel pump at right around 900 miles. Anyone else had a similar problem? Pretty bizarre and a rough start to my ownership. submitted by /u/bctheinternet [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

2017 Audi A4

I have a 2017 A4. I hopped in her today to run to the store less than 2 miles away, grabbed what I needed, and heated home. When I pulled in my driveway I noticed a small puddle of liquid where I was parked. I got on the ground best I can (I'm physically disabled) and noticed it dripping from whatever this is. Can anyone give me an idea what I'm looking at? The front of the car is to the left and the tire you see is the front passenger side. submitted by /u/ItsYieldNotDie [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
