Two years ago, Stéphanie, Benjamin, and their children changed their Bordeaux life for a new adventure in the Pyrenees, where Benjamin grew up. In Les Angles, they wanted to establish a new life in the historic Hotel Le Bel Angle. And they started by shaking up the restaurant La Table du Bel Angle. A complete interior design makeover now frames the magnificent view of the Capcir Valley, with the Matemale Lake on the right and charming Les Angles village on the left. They’ve topped this off with local, slow-cooked food. You’re in for a treat! Bel Angle This time, Middlest joined me for dinner ..read more

With a glass of white wine in your hands and a plate of juicy oysters in front of you, life seems so easy. The South of France also merits a visit in winter if you like snow. Indeed, the Pyrenees mountains are often covered under a white blanket and guarantee some snow fun. Here, you will find some fine green, blue, red, and even black runs in beautiful scenery. Les Angles ski resort offers 45 slopes covering 55 kilometres between 1,600 and 2,400 metres of altitude. And chances are high that you’ll have a blue sky above you. After all, it is the most ..read more

This year has been a year of settling down and reflection. The family and I slowly got to know Béziers. Of course, I already knew the city, but now I can say I’m a real ‘Biterroise’ as Béziers’ inhabitants are called. And I got to know the city from the inside. I love that I can easily walk around- there are many days that I don’t use my car. Another plus is the many great restaurants on our doorstep. Chéri and I even have a local pub where we like to end the week with a little drink. Living in the centre of Béziers helped us meet a whole lot of people and our neighbourhood feels like a villa ..read more

Having worked at several prestigious restaurants and being elected as ‘Young Talent’ in 2022 by Gault et Millau, he opened his place in January 2023. It’s in the details Every time I visit Montpellier, I’m surprised by the bustling vibe. There are so many restaurants that I want to try! This time, I had already made a reser ..read more

Get ready for spectacular vistas when doing the hike at the Gorges de Colombières. These gorges might be less well known than nearby big brother the Gorges d’Héric, but their varied landscapes are equally beautiful. The challenging 13 kilometre trail will take you through the mountainous Haut Languedoc, with its impressive rocks, rushing waters and chestnut forests. This wilderness has every reason to be nicknamed ‘a part of Corsica lost in the Languedoc’. Nature lovers Les Gorges de Colombières offer a great diversity in activities.
