I got a virus alert today from Malwarebytes antivirus for XIVLauncher, a custom launcher addon for the game Final Fantasy XIV. This is very weird to me because I uninstalled the game and the launcher last year, but apparently some files were left and that detected as Neshta.Virus.FileInfector.DDS. I did some research and according to the Malwarebytes Forum in these two threads, the detection is a false positive. Hey guys, I have faced a network attack. What does it actually mean in terms of protection of my PC? I was using a mobile hotspot. Was my mobile phone was compromised or does someone tried to hack my computer? If yes, what could be the reason? I have never faced network attack (DoS attack) before.
