If there is one thing I love, it’s comfortable work trousers for the office. Before moving to Chicago, I was maybe in the office for a few days a month. Now, I’m in the office anywhere from two to four days each week and I wanted something that looked a bit more polished than my usual faded jeans and a bodysuit. I’ll still wear jeans to the office a few times a week, but a loose pair of trousers is perfect for both comfort and appearance. I’ve worn a lot of my trousers casually too, but here are some of my favorite outfits I’ve rounded up over the past few weeks. Any of the outfits below are s ..read more

Coachella might be one of the most recognized festivals of the year. To me, Coachella feels like the start of summer (and festival season) and it only seems to get better from there. While it gets a bit of a reputation for being the ‘Influencer festival,’ I loved my time at Coachella. Now, I went for Weekend 2 and usually Weekend 2 gets the reputation for being the ‘non-celebrity’ weekend, so keep that in mind. When I decided to go to Coachella, I went super last minute. By last minute, I mean that I decided I was going on Wednesday night, bought my ticket, and drove to the festival the next ..read more

Ok, maybe I don’t live in Arizona anymore, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t spend enough time there to figure out the best places to get even just a little taste of fall. What can I say? I love fall just as much as any other girl. Spending most of my life on the Southern West Coast, it’s easy to say I’m a bit fall deprived. Between Southern Arizona and Southern California, it doesn’t leave much season change for those beautiful fall colors. Living in Reno, Nevada had it’s potential, but the season seems to change from summer to winter so quickly that the leaves fall from the trees before they g ..read more

Fisherman sandals are having a moment and I am here for it. They’re perfect for the warmer months, with their open-toe design and breathable materials and they are definitely seeing their moment in the spotlight on social media. I always viewed them as either a kids’ sandal or a ‘mom’ sandal, but after getting a few pairs, I found fun ways to style them that don’t feel simple or dated! Keep it Simple When it comes to styling fisherman sandals, less is often more. These sandals have a lot of personality, so you don’t need to go overboard with the rest of your outfit. Opt for simple, unders ..read more

With consumers more interested in supporting companies with sustainable and ethical practices, greenwashing is the latest corporate marketing trend. Greenwashing is the practice of a company putting more effort into PR and marketing to make it seem like they are more sustainable are ethical than they actually are. Less-than-truthful marketing practices aren’t new in any industry, but greenwashing tactics to cover up environmentally destructive business practices is just a surface-level tactic that hurts more than just consumers. The fashion industry has been under increasing scrutiny in recent years for its impact on the environment. Fast fashion, in particular, is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, with estimates suggesting that the industry accounts for up to 10% of global carbon emissions.
