Recently, I was out to lunch with one of my dear friends who loves food almost as much as I do, when she raised quite the polarizing question: “ What’s been your best meal at a new Nashville restaurant?” Without hesitation, I immediately responded with Kisser. After all, it must be pretty damn good for me to leave my Green Hills bubble and trek to East Nashville on back-to-back weekends.
As a Nashville native and food enthusiast, I keep a close watch on the ever-changing food scene, and few restaurants have arrived in Music City with more hype than Kisser. Before their officia ..read more

Unsurprisingly, culinary travel has increased in popularity over the last few years. After all, I’ve been saying food is an excellent reason to travel. No matter the destination, I try to keep an eye out for unusual foods or drinks that genuinely speak to me.
Let’s rewind to 2017. I was in the midst of one of my many trips to Chicago and happened across Moody Tongue beer on the menu. Not only did the name stand out, but this beer was locally brewed in Chicago. You know the rest of the story; I fell head over heels in love with the beer and filled my suitcase with bubble wrap an ..read more

I’m curious, how many of you dine at a new restaurant on opening weekend?
For those food enthusiasts like myself, there seems to be a feverish race to be the first to dine at the newest or latest restaurant in Nashville. Perhaps my competitive nature and curiosity get the better of me, but let’s face it, if you aren’t the first to showcase something on social media, you might as well not even show up.
I had been following Noko for a while on Instagram, and when I saw that they opened up reservations for opening week, I snagged a table for three, invited some of my best gi ..read more

Sojourner At Southall Farm & Inn
If you’ve wanted to check out Southall Farm & Inn without paying the hefty price tag of a two-night stay, I’ve got some great news! They are now inviting locals to experience its luxury amenities, including one of their four dining options, Sojourner.
Southall has four dining options: Mary Amelia, Southall’s signature restaurant, Sojourner, the pool bar, and in-room dining. Sojourner is the Inn’s casual, all-day restaurant where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily. Guests can enjoy a classic Tennessee breakfast ..read more

Southall | Greeted With Champagne Before The Honey Tasting
As a food enthusiast, I always watch for unique culinary experiences throughout middle Tennessee. Wine tastings, cheese pairings, cooking classes, you name it, and I’m there. One day while scrolling through Instagram, I happened upon quite the event: a honey tasting at Southall Farm’s jammery. While I had no idea exactly what honey tasting entailed, I knew it was something that I had to try.
Nestled on 325 acres south of Nashville, Southall Farm and Inn is a place of gathering and connection around food and nature. Southall combines s ..read more

It's a well-known fact that there's no shortage of restaurants in Nashville.Except in one area, Green Hills. While the area has flourished in the last few years with the addition of Cava, Chopt, North Italia, and True Food Kitchen, there are also locations like Zoe's Kitchen and Pei Wei closing their doors. As I drove down Hillsboro Road, I noticed that CPK closed (FINALLY) and renovations were being made to the space. Uncertain of what was opening in the former California Pizza Kitchen space, I decided to do what I do best, internet stalk. In no time, I discovered that Sam Fox was expanding o ..read more

Since Arnold’s Country Kitchen closed earlier this year, I’ve been at a loss for where to eat. Knowing the number of restaurants in Nashville, that may seem ridiculous to many of you, but Arnold’s was my ride-or-die. I’d go there for a cocktail and grab a quick dinner. Still, most importantly, I’d find myself there on many Saturdays praying that the Nashville bachelorettes and downtown tourists had not depleted the 7-Up Pancake supply.
When the weekends roll around, I find myself reacquainting myself with many Nashville haunts, plowing my way through mimosas, biscuits, and pancakes. After all ..read more

It’s hard to believe that in just a few days, we will say goodbye to 2022. It’s been a remarkable year, to say the least. I’m so incredibly grateful that travel has resumed, and I’ve had the opportunity to explore several new areas and revisit a few favorites. Recently, I spent some time scrolling through my photos, reliving some of my favorite moments and dishes from 2022. Trust me; there have been a lot ( and yes, the scale agrees.) If you’re new to Blonde Voyage Nashville, you should know that I am a truffle enthusiast. If it’s on the menu, I am going to order it. The aroma is simply i ..read more

Do you keep a list of places you want to travel to or restaurants that you want to visit? They are not necessarily “bucket-list” items per se, although some might consider them as such. Over the years, as I’ve read various food and travel articles, I’ll pull out my notes and capture those locations that I’ve found intriguing. This list runs the gamete with bars, breweries, taco joints, and acclaimed restaurants that I anxiously await to visit.
Ironically enough, Odette has been on my list for quite some time. When a restaurant spends two years at the top spot in Asia’s 50 Best Restauran ..read more
