The cost of living adjustment has been announced as 5.9% for 2022 — the highest percentage increase since 1982. University Place Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte was recently cited by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services after a resident with dementia was discovered by staff to have an open wound filled with live maggots.
