Let me put up a glamorous photo of myself before I go into the unglamorous parts of getting the house in gear because YouTube channel Homeworthy is coming end of this month to film our home!! This dress is from Dress the Population, a gift and I’m in size small. It also comes in green. How I’ve been able to work on the Williams-Sonoma garden party I’m hosting this Friday to campaigns, and work on finishing some home projects on my list is mind blowing. Just a few minutes I realized I have to work on place card holders because I have had too much going on and my friend Michelle flies in tomor ..read more

Easter recap
Diana Elizabeth Blog

The lushness of this greenery just blows me away! This was a wet lawn and we stepped out to take our annual Easter photo. I’m so glad we did and I just love how everyone dresses up for Easter and we come together after all these years, this is our 7th or 8th year depending on what you count (and 2020 we weren’t able to get together due to the lock down). I had a different outfit in mind but I threw this on to be warm, it’s an old Banana Republic pleated skirt and a Forever 21 (um, Forever 31) bodysuit. I had set the tables outside assuming the rain was going to stop at 10 am but nope, it kep ..read more

Our 11th year in Vegas! I can’t believe 11 years has gone by so quickly. It was supposed to be all 6 of us in Vegas but we got down to 4 the day of! Long story short, one got food poisoning (and probably mixed with some anxiety sitting in the car feeling nauseous), and one canceled flight due to Colorado weather! We were lucky the other two of us (Brenna and I) made it because we got in the car when our flights were getting canceled and rerouted!  Anyway, we made it because it was important to us and we could so now I need to share the fun spots we checked out because after all these ye ..read more

Easter Kid Table
Diana Elizabeth Blog

I set up this little table for kids in the kitchen garden. I still love my teak setup here I bought years ago from Grandin Road, I am so glad I got the poppy chairs for this area, it’s so sweet looking.  I think a kid table can be easy to set up, I found these bunny ears by Meri Meri at Home Goods. Everything cute is Pottery Barn. The white cotton napkins are from Amazon here.  These sweet little touches from Pottery Barn make a festive Easter table. Links at the end of this post. Spring Easter table setting with Pottery Barn
Diana Elizabeth Blog

Easter is early this year and I always get excited hoping it means the weather will be nice. But the last time it was in March it was so hot here, I was so disappointed! This year I decided to host a potluck brunch at 11:30 am for friends who could make it, and our egg hunt will begin at 1 pm. I know the day is busy so I hope this allows people to spend time doing what they need to do, church, family, stop by, go to dinner, whatever!  This year I am thrilled to set the table with my friends at Pottery Barn! The floral tablecloth is to die for and the pink plates are so pretty! Eve ..read more

Easter garden entrance with outdoor lit mushrooms and bunnies

A garden entrance just perfect for Easter and spring parties! The topiary lights up, the bunnies, the stones, the mushrooms!  Turn it on to activate the 6 hour timer and then it turns off the rest of the time and restarts again at the same time you turned it on. I love the size of this magnolia wreath too, and if you remember when we made this entrance we had topiaries here but they died! They didn’t even last a season before the heat baked them so I’m thrilled to have these outdoor lit topiaries from Pottery Barn. All links will be at the end of this post, all items are from my f ..read more

An Easter Buffet Table with Pottery Barn
Diana Elizabeth Blog

I love to decorate for Easter because of the colors and I also love having friends over on Easter Sunday! This year I wanted to try to set a pretty buffet table, which is actually what I will have to do because this year we’re doing a potluck style brunch. We thought this would make it easier so families who can make it over can hang out and can contribute and if not, no big deal! Then we do an egg hunt. My friends drop off candy and come over to help stuff the eggs because I was doing it on my own and it was a lot of work so now we make it a group effort which I am thankful for. As th ..read more

Molding in the living room

Crown molding went up and company came in town right after and then we went to Disneyland and I got back and here are some photos. PHEW! Between all this, I decided to get new peach pillow covers from Caitlin Wilson Design, and swap out the Mario Buatta inspired bows over the mantel from a dark blue to a brighter blue silk I bought a yard from Etsy. My favorite thing about the dentil molding is that it brings out the color of our walls. I used to think Alabaster by Sherwin-Williams was just too white and flat for us, and now the crown molding makes the walls look creamer. The ce ..read more

Wicker Urns under $35
Diana Elizabeth Blog
by Diana Elizabeth

I’ve been eyeing these wicker urns but they are pricey, until I found these urns for $35 and under, I say under because it comes in a smaller size so it’s cheaper. I always prefer the largest one because the bigger the better! I wanted to share this look because I thought it was so pretty for my Galentine’s dinner set up. I’ll probably move them now that it’s over because it blocks so much of my dining room painting but isn’t it so pretty? I plan to use them at my garden party outdoors too. Turn on your JavaScript to view content Well I think you should get them, so that’s why I ha ..read more
