Hello, I am trying to learn the shakey head technique. Any tips would be appreciated. I know a lot of people use worms, but what about a craw? Just lookin for advice on shakey head.
For reference, I am using a 7'2 Favorite Lit spinning combo. 20lb high viz braid to 8lb fluoro leader.

Say I have a 1/8oz rooster tail/beetlespin. Can I still use them on my rod? Should I add a 1/4oz egg sinker?

I’m looking to buy a spinning rod specifically for drop shotting and occasionally other finesse tactics like a ned rig. I’ll be targeting primarily smallmouth but largemouth as well so the rod will be used to drop shot up to 30-40ft in the summer months. I plan on running 10lb braid with an 8lb fluorocarbon leader. I was leaning toward a 7ft to 7-2 medium light rod but I’m not sure if that will have the backbone when drop shotting 30-40ft on large northern lakes.
My budget is $140. Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

I understand bass up here in the northeast are not the same as bass down in Florida so they techniques/bait you see youtubers using down there doesn't necessarily translate up here. I've read that the predominant food for bass in my area is crawfish, bluegill and small pike/pickeral and not shad like in a lot of other places.
I typically start out with a texas rigged worm and work around any structure I find then if I'm not getting bi ..read more

Caught quite a few 2 pound caliber crappies this spring bass fishing. Caught them on senkos, one on a Megabass sleeper craw.
